To My One and Only Pamangkin

Note: This was a note I made for my niece who celebrated her birthday 2 weeks ago. I just missed her so much! I wish her well and may she always be strong and determined to succeed in life.

Dear Jeps,
Happy 12th Birthday to the precious and beautiful lady pamangkin of mine who still is and will always be my topmost fave "bata" in the whole wide world. You well knew how much I love you, how much your Papa Jem loves you, how much your Tita Amor loves you, much more of the love Daddy and Mommy is giving you. Circumstances are just so mean which draw us apart but it doesn't mean that we love you less( and still you know that). You just don't know how much we wanted you to always be with us. I know in God's time, there will still be a chance that we could all be together. Having been exposed to some of life's ironies, I wish you more strength as you grow up. I know you are a smart and a brilliant girl which we've always been proud of. I love you so much Jepz, your Magno Family loves you so much, and you know that. By the way, I owe you a date at any time of your convenience and we could watch movies, pig out, or play at Timezone.Just let me know when.
Finally, may GOD grant you the desires of your heart and may you be blessed with good health, and a strong heart as always.Take care of yourself dearie. Take extra care.
Once again, I love you and I miss you so much.
Happy Birthday
From your Darling Tita

A Simple Keepsake For A Friend

She's been a good friend to us, to me, and to everyone whom she considered special. We spent most times together during celebrations of life like birthdays, parties, or just a simple chit-chat anywhere at anytime. She's someone I consider a true friend. When I learned that she's leaving, I personally had a feeling with mixed emotions. However, reality has it and we need to face the thought that I may not be able to see her like I used to.

On the first week of October, I had the courage to make this simple slide show meant for her, also in behalf of the group. Finally during our last dinner with her, we showed it to her. Looking at her teary-eyed while viewing this also made me to shed some little tears, hahaha!

Seriously, she will be terribly missed but we're happy to where she's heading at.

Now take a glimpse of this simple keepsake for her:

A Visit at the Isla

This is another late post but it's never too late yet. Lol.

Well, before a good friend of mine flew home from KSA, she mentioned about visiting Isla Reta, another great beach resort found in Talicud Island, which is more or less an hour boat ride from Davao City. When she got home in April, we did schedule an overnight getaway the next month.

In May 2011, three girls (that's me, Melds, and Tin) went out of the hustle-and-bustle city life and prepared to embrace the serenity in Isla Reta. We left Davao City via ferry at the Sta. Ana Wharf past 2pm. The trip took longer than expected because we took a passenger ferry that went to another island first before leading us to our destination. It was already past 4pm when we reached the place and it was about to get dark. Just as we arrived the area, my friend asked the resort personnel if there's still an available room for 3. Since it was a weekend, all accommodations were already filled up. Good thing, we bought a tent with us out of anticipation that we might not get a room for us. The crew was kind enough to help us settle the tent. The weather that night was participative. No signs of rain coming. Only the cool temperature did envelop us. As the tent was secured and in place, we took our dinner.

After taking some time to rest after eating, we decided it's time to test the waters and take a dip on them. Who can ever forget to take pics as we play and get into the waters? ;)

We called it a night before midnight and slept inside the tent.

In the morning, we were greeted by the sun rays, still with cool breeze. Immediately took our breakfast because we still longed to be in the waters in the morning. Post breakfast, all of us took a swim and everything became a part of the memory.

That visit in Isla Reta is one great memory of friendship and serenity I have held in my heart and will always be treasured.

The way I take life is constantly changing over the years. I knew I used to be so pessimistic but having this outlook doesn't give any help. It is useless. Pointless to be exact. Then it just happened when one day I felt like the positive energies were coming in. Swear, it was a different day from the usual. Since then, I did try to think of the positive things despite how negative they can be. Now, gone are the bad days, the thought of having bad days. Problems now, though taken seriously, are carefully been grasped upon. Trials, yes, we can never get rid of them but personally, I am trying to take them as challenges. If some things aren't meant for me, I'd rather let go although letting go is quite difficult to do. Family matters? Nothing much to worry. I am now savoring priceless moments with them whenever we can. I actually find joy in it. Where did I get my strength? From the lessons learned and of course, my FAITH which always saves me.

I finally got the nerve to delete someone on my FB whose friendship I used to cherish. I am certain that it's time I have to shy away from a person who just took me for granted. And now it is taking place. Congratulations to my total self for doing this. You did a great job!:D

I Made It!:D

After ranting about the difficulties I encountered in another English test, I was somewhat relieved when I learned that my final scores did qualify me to renew a certification based from abroad.

Yes! Its success makes me feel proud of myself because I invested my own money and dedicated my time for it. I used not to tell it to my family and friends because I was afraid bout its outcome. However because of my obvious moves, they still learned about it.

At long last, I surpassed another struggle!:)

Sunday Stealing: The Madness Meme, Part 1

Hey guys!
I've been absent for more than a month now. As a comeback, I'd like to start my new entry this month with a meme. :) Here it is:

Today we ripped off a blogger named Tense Teacher from the blog Tense for a Reason. It's long so we'll do it in two parts. She stole it from The Coffee Table. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Take the time to comment on other player's posts. It's a great way to make new friends! Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!
