Disappointed!

At work last night, I got so disappointed with a supposedly someone I look up to. Talking to her on the phone was like a nightmare. I mean, I understand her at times but the situation that occurred last night was inexcusable. It was me up became the front-liner of so many questions which some I can't anymore answer. I hope this has to be remedied upon. After all, it's not only me who's gonna be saved, but her as well.

Just disappointed though.
Just hope she'd try to weigh things out and be more mindful of her job.

3. How long can you go without your cell phone? Do you own a so-called “smart phone”? **I think I can't go without my cell phone. It seems to be a necessity these days. Smart phone? How should I could describe that? All I knew is I am subscribed with Smart, one of the cellular networks here in our country.

4. Do you believe everyone deserves a second chance? Yes, yes to someone (oh please!)..:D

5. Would you rather spend a whole day with your mom or your dad? (If either or both have passed, answer as if they're alive.) **Of course! I would love to.

Classic Soul Music, I Love!:D

I am so addicted with Classic Soul Music lately. I think I already have outgrown the upbeat songs I used to fancy about when I was still in college. It all started when I used to tune in to Crossover 93.1 FM and I began to like the songs being played. I found every song so soothing to my ears and it gives me a sense of relaxation especially after a tiring day's work.

These days, classic soul has become a part of my routine. It has become a part of my day to day activity, say after getting home from work. Believe me, I really do feel good whenever classic soul music keeps me company. :D

Enough

Enough. Enough.
This word has been overused and abused for many times already. I just don't know why I think about this word every time I realize the craziness and stupidity I'm in most especially when it comes to matters of the heart. I always say "enough" when realizations step in and when I find myself too weak and too tired to fight for anything. However, any shade of light or an in inch of hope would seem to make me forget that word.

Still it's stupidity. Call me insane. And I think that's how I was and still is for as long as I keep on believing on the impossible. When will I ever learn? When will I ever get to accept the reality that what I want is not attainable?

I hope I could someday give justice to the word.
I hope it will be soon.

Reunited with Nat :D

Nat was home. Yes, she was home last May with her family including her baby boy who was baptized here. She and her family came all the way from Ireland just to visit her beloved family here in the Philippines. Thank GOD she found time to meet us, her friends back here.:D

Looking back, Nat and I knew each other since nursing school. We're always partners in our nursing return demonstrations. It was fun having her around coz despite the fact that she's gone through a lot (and she's older than me but looks so young still), she manages to be a friend, a very funny and accommodating friend to everyone.

With her going home last May, we managed to get together with some friends over dinner.:D It was such a pleasant night to be reunited with friends again.:D

My 2011 Birthday!:D

This post is so late. Well, my apologies. But it's better late than never that's why I am sharing this.

Two months ago today, I celebrated my birthday. It's another 30-ish birthday. I had a pre-birthday celebration with my family and on my very birthday, I celebrated it with my friends. It was just a simple celeb. I treated them @ Dencio's Sa Hilltop overlooking the city of Davao at night. We had an inexpensive dinner because the foods are just affordable. After dinner time, we headed to Matina Town Square to pass the night away. It was just a typical birthday celeb but most importantly, I did thank GOD for adding another year into my life. I just hope I grow more mature and more confident and aggressive as I approach more days into my life.

My deepest gratitude to everyone who remembered me on my special day.:D

A Godmother to Jillianne :D

Today, I became a godmother to a beautiful baby who happens to be the daughter of a dear friend. Again, for the nth time, I pledged and vouched to guide my goddaughter as she grows up. The celebration took place at San Pablo Parish along Juna Subdivision here in Davao City.

Being invited to be a godmother will always be an honor to me. Not all are given the privilege to stand as a godparent. A godparent's role is never about the gift a godchild has to receive on his birthdays or on Christmas Holidays, but rather it is merely about being the light, the guide, the adviser of a godchild as he/she grows to be a worthy man on earth.

Back To Working Out!:D

Yes! You've read it right. I'm back to working out once again after more than a year of not going to the gym. Well, I was once a member of Holiday Gym and Spa a year ago at an affordable cost but when my membership expired after three months, I wasn't able to renew it. I only resort to HipHop Abs at home. When our DVD player got wrecked, I didn't have any choice but to stop. That started with me feeling guilty for not being able to work out once again, plus the fact that I've been eating a lot (again!).

A month ago, a friend of mine invited me to try it out again this time. Without further ado, I got convinced. Now, I am working out again at BeeFit in Quirino Avenue. I didn't get the membership though. I am on a per session basis.

Now that I'm working out once again, I just really feel so good physically! Gym-ing (if there's a term such as that) has become a part of my routine. I only get to visit the gym like twice or thrice a week but it still does me any good. Even if I really feel so tired and feel like working out, I really manage to hit the gym by all means. Well, I just hope this doesn't change as days go by.:D

Overly-Concerned Tita

I got this one and only niece in this world and I've loved her like any other kids ever since she was born. I nursed her as a kid. I became her nanny, her playmate, and even acted like her own teacher/mother when we're together. 0-5 years old, she lived under the care of my parents but things have fallen apart between her parents, making her be apart from us. Twas one of the most painful experiences we used to have. There was never a time during those early years of separation from her when I found myself crying whenever I think about my niece and her future. I admit, we're emotionally struggling and we're hurt (because of deprivation) when we less see her but we can't do anything because her "boss" rules over her.

Lately, the family has gone startled. She told us she'd quit schooling because her "boss" told her so. Who wouldn't have been hurt again? Being a smart kid, we knew she deserves to be educated coz we believe she's gonna create a name someday. But look what "her boss" has done unto her? I don't want her to succumb on false hopes. I don't want her to be frustrated. She has the right to be given a proper education.

Right now, communication seems hard between us and my beloved niece. I just wish she's safe. I just wish she'd be treated nicely. And I just wish she's not deprived of anything in this world. I just love her so much, that's why I'm overly concerned about her right now.

Lord God, I lift up everything to You. Please keep her safe.
I just love her so much.

Marcelito Pomoy Wins Pilipinas Got Talent 2

I know this is a long overdue post since "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 2 Grand Finals took place like 2-3 weeks ago, but I just can't help but post this Youtube clip (thank you soniacaboom) from PGT Season 2 Grand Finals that shows the performance of my bet none other than Marcelito Pomoy.

While watching it on TV, I was actually teary-eyed. I mean, such an ordinary man like him, he deserves to be discovered and applauded, with the exceptional talent he got. Not all can sing like him who's been gifted with a male and a female voice at the same time. Having him as PGT Season 2 Grand Finals, I know Marcelito Pomoy will be super famous in time!:D

Still Chasing My Dreams!

At my age right now, I am still on the verge of chasing my dreams. I have big dreams, in fact. I know one day, they will all be realized. I am just taking it so slow for now. At least, I am still doing things I expect to be doing - making my days a bit busy than usual. I know someday, all the dreams I've wished for, if they're really meant for me, will just fall into place. Right now, I am still doing some preparations - preparations that will be beneficial in the future.

So help me GOD.

Sad June 29, 2011 for Davao

The people of Davao should have been in the event of merry-making that day of June 29 because it is actually Davao City's fiesta - the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, Davao's patron saint. I personally should be overwhelmingly happy myself because my parents are here to celebrate my Dad's birthday also happening that day.

However, despite our scheduled activities for the day in celebration of Dad's birthday (we all heard mass as a family, dined on a buffet restaurant, and watched a movie on 3D altogether), I just can't help but think about the sad events happening on that very day.

On that afternoon of June 29, there was an accident that happened along the corners of McArthur Highway and Cuyugan Avenue in Matina where a 6-wheeler dump truck allegedly lost its brakes that hit a Suzuki multicab, a bus, and a taxi. It was like a domino effect when it happened. There were four casualties and a lot were injured who were then brought to nearby hospitals. It was really a saddening event that afternoon.

That night of June 29, rain poured so heavily causing flash floods along Matina and Bangkal areas. I could personally not believed at first that it happened because it's the first time in my existence that it has ever occurred in the city. I knew some friends who reside in those flood-stricken areas and yes, flood did invade their homes. Hearing their stories make me feel sad because some will gonna be starting from scratch again.

As of this writing, rescue operations are still ongoing. Since it happened and until today, I continuously pray to GOD to always keep us safe from any harm and calamities.

GOD, please give us a safe Davao and a safe Philippines.
