Valentines Date with Girlfriends

Valentines Day 2011 was celebrated memorably with my friends/colleagues. Too lucky that we're all on morning shifts and from that, we finally realized our plan- a group Valentine date. Well, we're all singles though except for one married friend who's husband is a seaman and one who's already taken and in a relationship but had chose to celebrate Valentines Day in a different date.;)

Our first destination- Davao City's Baywalk.
We just spent time loitering along its premises just having fun and laughing at our jokes. and take note, we're in our work uniforms, hahaha! Food? We ate fish balls, I mean a LOT of fish balls since it's way too cheap and delicious at that. After getting full with all that fish balls ( we consumed a lot really!), we took a series of pics and I was the photographer that time. I was just amazed with the beauty of nature participating with us in that area. Here are the pics we got at Baywalk:

Next stop- Only the four of us (some friends had to leave for family dates) made it to Dencio's Sa Hilltop, a restaurant nested on top of a mountain overlooking Davao City at night. We flocked in there joining some lovers and friends celebrating Valentines Day. We ordered foods that will definitely enjoy our palate and guess what, it was really so awesome that we've gone sooooo full after eating!;) I also loved the acoustic songs being played with a singer in it!;) Really so romantic that makes dating more romantic at the top!

It was indeed a fun and wonderful Valentines Date with my colleagues/girlfriends!;)
Sa uulitin guys!

A Visit to Paradise Island

Hey guys! I just wanna fill in the things you (probably) missed while I was away from the blogosphere, the very reason why I'm trying to post anything significant for me that did happen for real. ;)

It was sometime in January of this year, an off day at that, I was feeling so bored at home and didn't want to confine myself in the four walls of my room. I instantly sent a text message to my friend telling her if she'd like to go to the beach with me, just to pass the time. Alas! She also wanted to give herself a break after being stressful the past few days. We agreed we'll just have to buy a value meal from a fast food chain for take out and had it eaten at the beach. At exactly 11:00AM in the morning, we paved our way to Paradise Island Beach Resort in Samal via Paradise Island's ferry. The sun was too hot at that time but we enjoyed cruising on the blue waters heading to Paradise Beach Resort. We enjoyed the cruise just taking pictures and enjoyed the ride. We actually paid the whole trip ( I forget how much we paid for it) since I can't afford to stay longer to wait for other passengers who will be going to the same resort. As always, I got fascinated with the very nice weather that seemed to cooperate on that day and I can't take my eyes off on the wonderful clouds up above. Shortly after a few minute-ride, we're already in Paradise Island Beach Resort. We paid the entrance and found seats (with table) for us. The beach was a bit quiet at that time and it wasn't flocked with a lot of people since it was a weekday. I can only get sight of a few foreigners plus a few locals in the said beach resort. When we got settled in place inside the resort, we took a few minutes just embracing the coolness of the air and the pretty scenic view of the beach. After a few minutes, we immediately had our lunch courtesy of McDonald's. We also got a complimentary drink as part of the entrance fee and we got ourselves a fresh buko (fresh coconut juice in a coconut shell). I found the fresh buko juice so refreshing! After taking sometime to eat, we enjoyed the rest of the few hours just savoring the beauty of nature in the so-called Paradise Beach. I didn't plan to get myself wet and bathe on the sea water that's why my friend and I just took the time to enjoy the cool air and took a lot of pictures!;)

We spent the rest of the afternoon loitering along the premises of Paradise Island Beach Resort. We visited the Bird Country that houses some of the famous birds inside their cages. We also visited the resort's playground and we took some time in the swing area where we felt like kids again!;)

It was a pretty great day to spend our leisure time in the beach with the beautiful sun and clouds up in the sky, with the cool air around us plus with the sight of great nature at its best.

We went home just before sunset.

It was really an instant getaway worthy to be remembered.

Day Off at Last!

Yes! It's a day off for me for two days which officially started yesterday and I thanked GOD we weren't that busy in our shift. But oh my! I was really too sleepy yesterday. After work, colleagues and I indulge myself to a 50-peso Egg breakfast buffet at Taste of Malaysia in Lanang and I was really feasting on their Maja Blanca. I landed up eating 3-4 slices! After breakfast, headed back to our workplace at almost 10am (and we're still sleepless!) to submit ourselves for biometrics. Yes, it was successfully done which I hope we could start implementing in the next few months. At half past ten, I went to see a doctor because I've been wanting a doctor to auscultate my lungs since I've been having a cough for almost 3 weeks now. It isn't disturbing though but it's really non-productive. Yes, I was auscultated and submitted myself for chest xray on that particular day plus, I was prescribed with medications. But what's shocking to me was my BP taken yesterday at the clinic! Would you believe that I got 120/90mmhg? It isn't pretty normal for me cos I used to have low blood pressures that ranges from 90/60-110/80. I am considering though that I was too stressed out yesterday plus the fact that I was so full with breakfast.

When I got home, I immediately hit the sheets! 'Woke up occasionally but still I manage to get 5 interrupted hours of sleep. It was about 5Pm when I woke up. That's when I took time to really cook and defrost the fridge. Since I got so caught up with my high blood pressure and I knew I was having a sedentary lifestyle, I tried my best to get back into exercising! I finished a 30-minute Hip Hop Abs workout which I emulated through DVD, then I spent time doing some weight exercises using our improvised dumbbells.

I tried surfing online for about two hours but I got so drowsy which is why I get to accomplish this entry just now.

Well, today's my Day 2 off day (and will resume work tomorrow). I plan of going to PRC to have my license renewed plus I think I'm going to participate in a badminton game with colleagues later.

I hope everything's going to be well for me and for my heart.

We're so required to do this every time we're at work which is so, so not good for my hair. :(

Discernment & Decision

I've been posting entries bout lost friendships and all that and all these pertains to one person I've been claiming as someone important to me for over a year. Yes, the friendship was great but it had ended after 6 months. It ended because I was blamed for no sound reason. I chased the friendship but to no avail, he's not getting me back. He didn't reclaim the friendship. Sad and hurting, yes it is. However, over some periods of discernment even if the hurt's there, I'm placed into an awareness that it's not giving me any good. I mean, my friend Beth is so right when he said that why would I chased someone, shed tears for the lost friendship, when the person didn't even manage to chase nor shed tears for me. She's so true with those words and I got even more inspired when my friend told me that I deserve to meet great people who deserve so much of my friendship and love. I also got an answered prayer right at that moment! I really THANKED GOD for allowing me to see the reason why I should stop communicating with him and why I should get past over him.

Realizations came in until now. It still is painful but I know things will gonna be better for me pretty sooner. I mean, there are lots of priorities to attend to.

I just hope and pray that this will be over soon.
I know this will be over soon.

Busy Night Shift!

I came from a night shift today and yes, we're all that busy! I even can't chatted out loud with colleagues because there are only four of us working in that particular shift tending to the needs of our patients. It was past 10:00 am in the morning when I got home and as expected, I slept like a log, not being able to take something for lunch. Tonight's another night shift to beat and I do hope everything will still be manageable.

Hello Again!;)

Hello again!:)

Done sharing the entries I've reposted from my other blog site. It ain't tiring though but I am so glad to have shared it with you guys. As of this writing, my head is filled with thoughts bout what to write, bout how to start a good blog post. But I am still preoccupied with a certain thought bout letting things happen as they are and let go of the things/persons not really meant for me. I've stated in my Facebook account that I've really got a hint as to how things are going on now and I thank GOD for making it as an answered prayer for me, even if it hurts. I still believe that everything happens for a reason and GOD knows the very reason for it. By the way, I really still have lots of things to share since it's been a long while since I posted my last entry. I just hope I will still make sense, lol.

I want to get active again with blogging. I want to post entries again.
I hope to post more and share more.
Happy Sunday Peeps!

Surigao Adventure: Enchanted River

Note: This is a repost. Original post is found here.

It was already 2:00PM when we headed to our last stop of our Surigao visit---> The Enchanted River. We traveled for like 30 minutes before we reached the spot. We're surprised because a lot of people were there to savor the beauty the nature has brought the Surigaonons.

Just as we arrived the place, we were like kids on the loose! We immediately took a pose on Enchanted River's landmark and took some pics.

After taking some pics, we immediately changed to our swimming clothes and off we went swimming, and testing the green-blue waters of the river. The water's gone cold but somehow, it was tolerable. We even had our life jackets on because the water is too deep!

We spent like almost three hours just swimming til it was time for us to head back to Davao. But before we left the place, we again took our group picture as our remembrance.

The entire Surigao Escapade that happened only on November 26, 2010 is very unforgettable and will forever remain in our hearts. It's an escapade worthy to be treasured and will always be a part of my OB Ward experience.

Special gratitude goes to RTours for all the assistance which made our travel worth the while!:)

Surigao Adventure: Maomawan Islet

Note: This is a repost. Original entry is found here.

Aboard on two convoy vans, RTours led us to another significant and beautiful spot in Hinatuan, Surigao which is the Maomawan Islet. When we reached Hinatuan proper (where we'll be taking our lunch), we were immediately ushered to a motorized pump boat that will take us to the islet. It was a 15-minute cruise along the sea waters of Hinatuan. We're gone tired and sleepy but within us, we're still overruled with excitement as to what's in store for us at Maomawan. Along the course of the trip, we're all so silent and some even took a nap. Oh well, it's not even possible to talk when I, myself was situated near the motor that runs the boat and what I could only hear was the loud noise coming from it! *grin* To pass away boredom, we just took some pics.

naiinip na si Ma'am?

Sleepiness noted!:D

As we drew nearer the place, the island became visible.

Until we docked at the island itself.
Of course, who couldn't resist taking pics right away on the beach front where the fine, white sands are all over the place? We took advantage of the time and the place itself and we got a loooot of pictures again!:D

We only stayed there for about 3o minutes. We didn't even swim because all became so hungry and can't wait for lunch.

We took another 15-minute ride back to Hinatuan Proper and surprisingly, lunch was served! It was really a feast to have unlimited crabs, shrimps, and rice (plus softdrinks) for lunch!

After more than an hour, we got inside the van again and we're on to our next final stop: a visit to the Enchanted River (still a part of Hinatuan municipality).
