The Majorly Personal Meme, Part Two

'Missed the meme's Part One though but I am answering this week's Part Two :D

Today we ripped this meme off a blog that is written by a group of high school students. The blog is called Eternal Fireworks. The writers are: Michael, Kynan, Alex, Kenny, Chris, Leo, Shelley, Athy, Bam, Tina, and Bnita. There is no statement as to where it came from. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. It is a long meme and we shall do it in parts. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Eye Problem & Migraine!

Sorry. I was away for how many days now. Health wise, I just need to. A week ago upon rushing for work, I had a hard time finding my DTR card because of the terrible glare in my eye sight. I couldn't see straight and I was feeling dizzy. Immediately, I went to the Ophthalmology Office and luckily found a resident physician in the department. He examined my eyes & I was prescribed with a temporary eye irritation relief. I was told to go back if symptoms would persist. I was relieved all through out the day. That night on the same day, the same problem arose again and I couldn't see clearly. Worst thing that happened was, I got a terrible headache - the very main reason why I didn't bother to go online. I even missed celebrating the city's Kadayawan Festival because I devoted time to rest my eyes and my body. Last Monday, I sought consult to my mom's eye doctor and she told me my right eye is nearsighted while my left eye is purely an astigmatism. I was even told that I am already experiencing migraine attacks that best explained why I am experiencing 'glares' in my vision.

Currently, I am under medication. Next week, I will visit the MD again for reevaluation. She even suggested that I need to correct my nearsightedness and my astigmatism which I would willingly have to adhere.

Sunday Stealing: The Crafty Fifty Meme, Part Two

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!!

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger and blog named Creative Bold. There is no statement as to where it came from. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. It is a long meme and we shall do it in two parts. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Unforgettable 8.14.10

August 14, 2010
9:10PM

I never thought that the joys I encountered at work earlier despite having a busy shift would have turned out to be BAD upon reaching home. I was actually rushing home, wanting to eat (since I haven't eaten lunch!) and got excited to finally rest on the last day of my function as the medicating NOD.

I really thought everything's going to be alright.
I really thought I could have my much needed rest and retire early to sleep.
But it isn't.

I got a bad encounter with my older sibling a few minutes back, moments after I arrived home--- this is something which in my heart is unforgettable. It's among my unforgettable confrontational encounter with him because the incident leaves me terrified until now, and I can't get to keep myself away from crying. I never intended to make an argument over a simple issue because I don't want to keep my father awake who's already asleep PLUS, I am so tired and simply wanted to sleep early and most importantly, I don't want to argue with him whom I think is a bit drunk because of his reddened face plus the fact that he has become so moody these days where I think I have inch why he's acting so differently at times. I can't really forget how he talked so loud, how he forcefully grabbed that bowl with soup in it where I am afraid it would break once it falls on the floor leaving my uniform so wet if that happens, and the look of his raging eyes which have grown bigger in front of me as if he's going to eat me alive! That scene leaves me terrified and I found myself shaking with fear and eventually broke down and cried trying not to let my sleeping father noticed that I am crying.

I am deeply hurt with the incident.
It isn't the first time I've been hurt by this older sibling of mine.
I admit I tend to get confrontational at times over some of his issues but for Pete's sake, this isn't for me. I wanted him to be aware of his responsibilities and make him more independent because he's not getting any younger. My parents are neither getting any younger that's why he should take steps that would make my parents even more prouder of him. I knew the sentiments of my parents for him and he's well aware too and yet, they're still very supportive on him.

I still believe everything happens for a reason.
I still believe that he's going to make a difference someday.
And I still believe that he's going to change for the better.

As of now, I am still armed with prayers with my faith to GOD set up high that everything's going to be okay soon.

I only wish for one thing in the family:
To simply live and be contented as we soundly live our lives to the fullest.

Saturday 9: Friends

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Friends

1. How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years? Which of your current friends do you feel will still be important to you ten years from now? **More than 10 years? I think I have a few, like less than 10 & they're still my friends until now. Current friends? I have my nursing school friends for more than 5 years now and I bet the friendship I built with them will rock ages. ;)

2. When you look at yourself in the mirror, what’s the first thing you look at? **My eyebrows. I always make sure they haven't grown much because I just lack the skill to make it in shape. Gotta practice doing it over and over again.

3. Who was the most recent person on your missed call list on your cell phone? What’s your relationship with the person? In my sun phone, it's Melody, a very good friend of mine whom I spent the night-out with last night. ;) In my other fone, none cos I deleted all call entries yesterday.

4. What did your last text message you received on your cell phone say? **It came from a friend who asked me if I knew someone from Red Cross because her friend's relative is in need of a blood. Too bad, I never knew anyone from there.

5. How would you “label” yourself? ** A mediator

6. What was your favorite age that you’ve been? **29.

7. What is your current desk top picture? What’s it significant? **Got none.

8. What was the last thing you said to someone that you‘d like to take back? **Something that denotes mistrust that made him to change 360 degrees on the way he's treating me now. :(

9. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to go back in time and fix all your mistakes which would you choose? **I wouldn't be what I am now if not because of what I was in the past. I learned lessons too! So just like anybody else, I'd take the million bucks, hahaha!

Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. In fact sometimes, if you want to read & comment on everyone's responses, you might want to check back again tomorrow. But it is not a rule. We haven’t any rules here. Join us on next Saturday for another version of Saturday: 9, "Just A Silly Meme on a Saturday!" Enjoy your weekend!

Good Health.. I Want!

Good health is what I really want to always have. It's no joke to be working in a health care facility because getting infected by any form of disease as long as it's contagious, is inevitable. I so believe that anyone can get infected for as long as one's immune system seems to be low. Right now, I keep track on my blood tests particularly my complete blood count because I tend to have slightly elevated white blood cells. I hope and pray this will normalize soon.

GOD, PLEASE BLESS ME WITH GOOD HEALTH ALWAYS.

Thursday Thunks: Special Talents

An important note about our friend and co-author, Kimber…

Kimber is in a trauma center in Scottsdale. She had an aneurysm on Tuesday. Her mom posted on FB that she hit a granite table & has stitches and a concussion. She must be very proud of her children, who kept their heads, called 911 where she was flown by helicopter to Scottsdale. Berleen spoke to Anthony, Kimber’s husband. She wrote me, “She's got 9 stitches in her head and a lot of bruising. She's gonna be fine. Her elbow, knee & back are messed up from the bounce... she's in ICU now but might be released tomorrow out of ICU.”

We ask that you have a good thought, or say a prayer for our good friend. We will update you on her condition here if there is further news to report. While I feel a bit odd posting this here, not doing so just did not seem right. Here’s to a speedy recovery!

Wednesday Wickedness: Chelsea Clinton

Hi and welcome to Wednesday Wickedness. We are like other memes in that we will ask you ten questions each and every Wednesday. But our little "twist" is that each week we will pick a famous person and pick ten of their quotes. Each of our questions will be based on the quotes. Got it? Great! Let's begin this week's meme!

Today we picked Chelsea Clinton. Here's Wednesday Wickedness!

1. “I think with our problems with hopelessness and cynicism that [the solution] ultimately has to come from the young people themselves. We've got to realize we are the future and we make of our future what we make of it, and ultimately we have to do it for ourselves.” If you had a wish for your future, what would it be? **I simply wish to serve my purpose, in this world, that is to make a difference in the lives of the people I care for and in the lives of every person I've met.

2. “We proved we could be safe and secure at home, and still have more allies and friends in the world.” Tell us about a couple of your closest friends. **I only got few closest friends. I got one here who's my confidante, one who left early this morning bound for KSA to serve her next contract, the other one is based in Mongolia and one in Manila - both of whom I sooo missed and haven't seen for many years.

3. “I had seen people who had lost everything and everyone they loved to war, famine, and natural disasters.” What is the most that you have ever lost? **That once beautiful friendship I thought I could treasure forever, the friendship I once built with WL.

4. “We grieve for the loss of life, ... I ask you to redouble your resolve and help your neighbors.” What was the last thing that you have done to help a neighbor? **As far as I can remember, our neighbor's daughter was admitted to the ward I had been assigned to & and I gave her a bottle of a very important emergency drug so her life could be saved.

5. “I think they were interested in it.” What have you done to help someone because of a shared interest? **I listened and we prayed together.

6. “How we use these surpluses in this moment of prosperity will determine America's future for decades to come. Nothing will more surely determine it than making the right choices…” What do you think the priorities of the United States really should be? ** I bet it should be an improvement in their health care system.

7. “For all the tornadoes Arkansas has, and the ones that have hit around Little Rock, we never had one just basically come down Main Street.” What was the last severe weather situation that you and your neighbors endured? **So far, we only got to experience heavy rains and we're all locked up in our houses. So thankful we never get to experience tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.

8. “I had seen people who had lost everything and everyone they loved to war, famine, and natural disasters.” Who among the folks you consider family or friends has lost the most? **A colleague who lost his girlfriend, but he's able to move on now.

9. “I Do.” If you’ve been married what you’re your thoughts when you said that? Or if not, what would you hope them to be?” ** I hope it's being attached to fidelity and faithfulness to the love I shared with whoever that person is. LOL.

10. "I'm a big health-food freak and a vegetarian devotee." Have you or are you a vegetarian? Thoughts? **I don't think I am a vegetarian but I do eat veggies, bunch of them actually.

Thanks for checking out our Wednesday craziness. We hope you join us again. Please visit our other player's posts and make a comment. Join us next week for our next meme!

Bryanna Cheska's Christening

One Sunday ago, July 25, 2010, I was honored to be a part of Bryanna Cheska's Christening as she's being welcomed to the Christian world. Her wonderful parents especially her mother who's a good friend of mine, are in fact very proud of their darling daughter as she's being baptized on that day. She got many godfathers and godmothers & it's so nice to see some friends who also graced on that wonderful celebration. I personally was happy to become a part of it & was even more proud that Bryanna Cheska did stay longer in my arms as I cuddled her. :)

To Bryanna Cheska, I hope you grow up to become a good Christian in the same way as your parents did. Welcome to the Christian World beautiful girl!:)

On Hiatus, Again!

In as much as I wanted to write a daily post, it's no longer feasible temporarily. The notebook that I've been using encountered a problem. It's no longer charging and I can't seem to do the troubleshooting myself because I lack the skill in doing it. I planned of having it checked to a service center once I can have my off day provided that I can afford to pay for its services too. As of the moment, I am using my brother's PC but there's nothing comfortable than just by blogging in the very comforts of my own room.

I'll get back though and I hope it's gonna be SOON.
