1. When was the last time that you watched a sunrise? Who were you with? ** It was me on a ship bound for CDO.

2. If President Obama promised he'd do one thing you asked, what would you ask him to do? **Please give me an Immigrant Visa now :D

3. What is one experience that has strengthened your character the most so far? **living far away from home that caused me to become independent

4. What is the first thing that you usually do after completing Saturday 9? **read other answers :D

5. Tell us about someone either in your life or in the blogosphere that you think is extremely funny. **the thought that I do tickle my nose at times :D

6. Where was the last bed that you slept in that was not your own? **at a friend's house.

7. Have you ever been too drunk to remember anything? **Nope. I always make it a point that I never got too drunk when I'm out.

8. Have you ever licked something to clean it? ** my spoon long before I finish eating my ice cream

9. Who, outside of family or a S/O, has influenced your life the most? ** just someone that helped me strengthened my faith more.

Hoping...

I am armed with hopes now that I got some good news. I wish GOD will really grant the desires of my heart and will help me get my dreams to become a reality. I know in GOD's time, all these dreams of mine will be fulfilled. I am still keeping my grip tighter and continue hoping for a better tomorrow.

I know that the future will be bright for me for as long as I believe, for as long as I hope, for as long as I make the most of what I have today, and for as long as I believe in what GOD can do for me. :D

I'm divorced 6 years and have no children, and am looking for someone to play with, be friends with and be open to a somewhat committed relationship. **seriously looking for someone to (just) play with? You better get yourself a video machine, hahaha! You can never even be a friend. I found the term 'to play' so degrading for a woman. We're not 'toy machines' dude. :)

2. I know this is short and sweet, but you really don't know a person until you talk to them. **I so agree with that statement. It all starts with a conversation, i mean, a talk or a chat or anything that involves an exchange of words.

3. I would love to find someone to grow old with. I have been single for a while now it is is getting very lonely. ** Aww, that's sweet - looking for someone to grow old with. ;)

4. I'm one to give long backrubs, massage your feet, or just sit and listen. ** If you can just sit and listen, that's already fine with me. Giving me backrubs and massages and you're a hubby and bf? That would be bonus points!:)

I work out regularly and watch what I eat. ** I got the same commitment as you are BUT I think you can get me to do work outs regularly cos I tend to become lazy at times & yeah, I also watch what I eat so I think we both agreed on that matter :)

Uber Tired!

I'm so so tired these days! Again, work has became the major culprit of my rants and clamors. Err, handling a handful of patients is really tough plus I get to skip my meals making me soooo unhealthy!

I still am thankful that I still got the nerve to do and perform my tasks at hand. I just don't know what to do if my body weakens and can't seem to hold on it anymore (I hope it won't ever happen!).

Well, this is still for the love of service. For God's glory.

May GOD bless me always so I can truthfully do my purpose here on earth while I am still alive.

3. Would you consider yourself to be spoiled? **Nope. I was never a spoiled brat.

5. Could you handle being in the military? **I think I can't because of their vigorous activities.

7. What’s the stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone? ** I hung it in an IV stand in the hospital and right there from the top, it fell down and crashed to the floor. It's still alive though. LOL.

Hi and welcome to Wednesday Wickedness. We are like other memes in that we will ask you ten questions each and every Wednesday. But our little "twist" is that each week we will pick a famous person and pick ten of their quotes. Each of our questions will be based on the quotes. Got it? Great! Let's begin this week's meme!

How old were you when you started working and what was your first job? **started working when I finished college & my first job was that of a telesales representative.

Tell us about your grandparents. ** My paternal grandparents are already dead & they both died of illnesses. My maternal grandmother is still alive at age 80+ and stays in Bohol while I haven't had a glimpse of my maternal grandfather who died on the same year my mom finished her college degree.

3. "Procrastination isn't the problem, it's the solution. So procrastinate now, don't put it off." Do you procrastinate or are you on top of the situations? **It depends on a given situation.

Prawns, Prawns, Prawns!

Thank GOD for my wonderful parents! They've been so thoughtful and very loving because they sent us stir-fried prawns from our hometown. I was deeply touched because of the effort they've made so their precious children could get a taste of Mom's stir-fried prawns! After 5-6 hours, we got the much awaited stir-fried prawns placed inside a plastic ware which was carefully secured.

Since it arrived yesterday, we can't stop eating until it's going to be consumed!
Once again, my deepest gratitude to my wonderful parents for this gift!:)

A Friend's Mom Dies

I got so shocked when I got an FB message from my long time & elementary friend, Lanie M telling me that her mom was in a comatose state for weeks! I was told through that FB email that 60% of blood in the brain had gone clotted and the doctor informed them that her mom won't live longer. Reading her message gave me a sense of sadness since her mom & my mom were colleagues and became close friends.

Last Saturday, July 17, I got the chance to be in the hospital where her mom was confined. However, I've learned that she's already dead early that morning. I am grateful that I was told where her body lies in state.

Yesterday, my sis & I got the chance to visit her wake. It was also the first time I saw my friend after how many years. There, I was told about how it all happened and how it did happen so fast. At least I was able to hear from my friend that they've already learned to accept their mother's death cos they don't want to witness their mom being alive but is living in agony.

To my mom's dear friend & the mother of one of my treasured friends, may you rest in peace.

To my friend and the family she's left behind, I know you will always remain strong even at the thought that you're mom now lives with GOD in Heaven.

A sad reality though but acceptance plays the key to it.

A Night-Out With The Birthday Girl!:)

July 10, a friend of mine celebrated her 31st birthday. As usual, all the single ladies were out on that special night. It was a special night of fun because a friend of ours who came from KSA for a quick vacation, treated us to a 1-hour whole body massage! It was a great treat because personally, I so needed a body massage these days now that work has become ever stressful! After experiencing a very soothing body massage, we all went to Eduardo's and had our share of Gilbey's Premium Strength plus a 20" Meaty Lovers Pizza!

It was indeed a great night for us celebrating years of friendship!:)

1. Tell us about the last time that you got hurt in the arena of love. **I was and I'm still hurt with love for the reason that I think it's not really destined to be. Still hopeful though but I don't know when and whoever Mr. Cupid who'd send someone for me. LOL.

2. Have you ever been part of the wedding party, other than your own? **I am not getting any younger so my friends are getting married. Yes, I've been invited to weddings BUT I certainly don't know if I'd have my own wedding too! Lol(again!).

3. Let's say you find yourself in Hell after you die. Think about everyone you've known in your life. Who would be the one person that would least likely to surprise you by being in Hell with you? **Haha, i think it would be recent one who I admit broke my heart.

4. What brings you good luck? **Prayers and my firm faith in GOD.

9. Who was the last person you had an online conversation with that you've never met or talked to on your phone? **None cos it's been a long time since I last chatted.

7 Days Straight At Work!

This week, I'm on a 7 day-straight duty days! Actually, I talked about it with someone in the position but I just got an answer that IT'S OKAY. The other day, I was asked if it's already my off day the next day, and I answered that it's still the 4th of my 7 days straight duties and I was told that IT'S NOT ALLOWED.

Now tell me where's justice here?!?
Such scenarios is one of the reason why I tend to become assertive. However, I am always misunderstood whenever I do so. I better keep mum of everything for as long as I'm doing my job well.

1. Billy Mays died about a year ago. What kitchen gadgets have you bought that you've used less than three times? What are they? **storage for condiments

2. What celebrity would you like to shake some sense into, and why? ** For now? I'd like to have a sensible conversation with Lindsay Lohan. I wanna dig in on things that lead her to violating such rules.

3. Jimmy Buffett just did on concert to benefit the victims of the Gulf. Name a Buffett song that you like. ** My apologies. I don't know any Buffett song.

4. How did you feel about Ringo Starr turned 70? **I also feel that I'm not getting any younger, haha!

5. What sport do you absolute see no point in watching? **Golf because I am not exposed to this game & I found it boring.

6. Trivia time. Do you know the first names of the French twins? **No.

7. You are in the best seafood restaurant in Canada. What type of meat do you order? **I'd like a crab meat ;)

8. How far would an electric car have to go without a recharge before you'd buy one? ** I don't know, I don't fancy electric cars ;)

9. Did you see that a high court ruled that you can swear on regular TV? What word can you just not wait to hear? **Nothing. I never cared about it.

10. You are in the finest steak and rib joint in Kimberville (Arizona). What seafood dish do you order? **Baby back ribs would be fine.

11. What was the last concert that you attended that really sucked? **I can't anymore remember. It's been yearssss since I last attended one.

12. What type of accent would you like to have, if you were forced to change yours? ** America cos in God's time, I knew I'd be there. ;)

13. Kimber's got four kids with chicken pox. Berleen is not feeling the love today, so I was asked to host. What do you miss most when neither originator of TT is asking the questions? **My Thursdays won't be the same!:)

When Being Assertive Becomes Useless!

I really feel bad today. It crumples my heart to note that someone in authority doesn't have the heart to listen to the woes and pleas of the people around her. Pressures are really in the air for us but what we needed is that little piece of understanding on some issues concerned.

I did talk about the issue trying to be assertive and expressed a win-win solution. However, our thoughts didn't reconcile because every time I talk, she always repels in what I was saying.

I realized I'd rather not talk anymore.
No sense to say what is deemed to be said.
Because after all, becoming assertive on some concerns had gone useless!

Cough + Colds = DISCOMFORT!

I think I've posted last week that I was suffering from colds. Exactly a week ago, I bought a remedy for my colds which is a drug called 'Nasathera' and I found it deem effective because it made me sleep better and kept me away from sniffing around. I really thought I'd be feeling okay not until Friday this week when I felt that my throat had become itchy whenever I swallowed my saliva. From then on, I found myself always clearing my throat because of itchiness plus, whenever I cough (got a nonproductive one), my throat hurts so much! Colds have also recurred that spells an added discomfort on my part. For now, I am still forcing myself to drink more and more fluids cos I believe this would be of great help.

I just hope I'd be relieved from this discomfort the soonest possible time.

1. The temperature in Mooseheadville, Canada was 34 below. Most of the U.S. is in a serious heat wave. In Connecticut, it was 92 degrees in the shade. What do YOU do to beat the heat? **I wear comfortable clothes to beat the heat. At times, I'd like to take very cold beverages or a 'halo-halo', a Filipino dessert so I would feel a lot better.

2. What is your favorite summertime song? **None in particular, any fast song can be considered as a summer song to me.

3. Besides nude beaches what's your favorite outdoor summer activity? **I''d like to include 'picnics' in it.

4. I'm inviting everyone to a cook-out with Kimber and Berleen. What should I cook for you? **I'd like to have a chicken soup being cooked for me.

5. When selecting your swimwear do you go for sexy or practical? **I go for the practical.

7. Do you know anyone who hates air conditioning? If yes, what is their reasoning? ** Yes, myself at times. I don't like when it's too cold. I have cold intolerance.

10. When you were a kid, what was your best summer? **Best summer? Back during my childhood days where we at times spent summer vacations in Bohol.

12. Is there a favorite meal that you like to have in the summer? **I like 'sinugbang baboy'

For Someone Whose Friendship I'll Always Cherish

I hope this would be the last, hopefully the last message & the last thoughts ever made for you so I could finally take myself to the road where I'm supposed to be, even without you hanging to what you once vowed as your pact for our friendship:

"I hope you do cherish your friendships even if I'm not part of it anymore. Do love them for all that they are. Don't treat them like the way you're treating me now. Sad to realize though that you never took the risk in saving my friendship with you but I know it did happen for a reason. Finally, I wanna THANK YOU for everything - most of all for the hurts and the pain - because I still get to value our friendship in my own selfless way even if I became unappreciated, been ignored, and had suffered the feeling of becoming unwanted. Scratching The Itch

I keep on scratching these days - scratching the itch on my knees to be specific. AND it's turning SO RED now. I cleaned my room and got rid of all the dust confined but how come I still keep on scratching. I got my room sprayed already but how come I can still feel the itch? Are there bed bugs crawling still? This is not funny anymore. I really must do something to keep myself from scratching my knee.

I hate you bed bugs. I hate you mosquitoes. I hate you tiny creatures!

My Bet Is The Philippines' 15th President

I'm glad that my presidential bet won in the presidential elections. I just kept mum about it because I don't like to be involved in heated arguments because of politics plus the fact that it just saddened me when I heard negative comments about the then ordinary politician Noynoy.

Now that he's the Philippines 15th President, I still say 'Thank You' to his detractors because it challenged him to be the man that he is right now.

During the inauguration last June 30, 2010, I was very much attentive to the coverage on TV and got myself involved online such as Twitter & Facebook, including the latest news online. From the Aquino residence in Times Street, to the Malacanang Palace where he'd ride the car with then President GMA from there to Quirino Grandstand, then Quirino Grandstand where he took an oath, and him delivering his inaugural speech - I really did pay attention to all of those significant events. I was personally touch with his inaugural address. He delivered it just right and take note, in our very own Filipino language. I was deeply touched when he said he had forgiven his detractors - that I'm sure include those who created stories that he's suffering from severe depression. It was also a very humble statement when he said to the Filipinos, 'Kayo ang Boss Ko."

Looking at him then and now, he's still the same person with a good heart. From his posture, on the way he walks, the way he faces the media, I should say that he's better now.

To President Noynoy, I am one with you in changing the view of the world to the Philippines, the New Philippines! I am one with you when you say that our dreams will finally become a realization.

24. What did you do last night? **was at work. My cousin and sis fetched me at around 11PM then off we went to McDonald's and ordered midnight snacks for us. So flattered I got a call fro a very sensible friend Mark :)

26. How old will you be turning on your next birthday? **I will turn 33 next year ;)

30. How did you get one of your scars? **Physical scars OR my heart getting scarred? LOL. Well, I got this scar in my face when I got chicken pox in childhood.

Thank You My Friend

One year ago today, a wonderful friendship was established. Everything went perfectly fine until almost seven (7) months after it was built. Sad that it had ended too soon because of that allegedly one single mistake I made. WE could have celebrated our 1st Friendship Anniversary today but I believe everything happens for a reason. I still 'Thank You' for that once beautiful friendship.

Missing Memes!

I miss two memes for the week. Too bad I am too much engaged to some tasks these days plus the fact that I am sick! I hope I can always carry this notebook with me at all times so I could keep you guys updated of my whereabouts. Right now? I am sniffing with all my might. Colds have attacked me again & never dared to keep me away from it. I think I'd buy something to alleviate this discomfort I am feeling...

Lights DAYS for ME!:)

I am so lucky for this rare chance of having more off days lately!:) At least I can have the time to rest, unwind, and keep myself healthy by doing some exercises at home. It's my 3rd off day in a row this week. The next two days, I have to work. After Sunday, it will be the start of another batch of OFF DAYS again!:) Really lovin' my July Sked!:) I am hoping for more good news from this day on and forward. Happy Thursday everyone!:)
