Thank God It's Friday (Week #3)

It's been another Friday and TGIF!
I'm on my Week #3 now and still trying to survive though I failed in some ways. A few days ago, I communicated with him (again!). I knew I failed in this aspect but my TGIF Survival Track will still go on until I don't know when.

'Celebrated the day with my colleagues - the OB peeps! We did island hopping around Talikud Island. The view during the journey was superb! Nature-y really at its best
! 'Loved the blue-green waters, the nice beach fronts with fine white sands along the shorelines, plus the nice feeling we got while inhaling the freshest air ever! 'Tried not to take a dip into the waters but it's simply irresistible! 'Found myself enjoying my every swim with life vest on! Also tried kayaking but only for a short while because I found it hard to balance myself on the kayak, hahaha! Last stop we had was at Dayang's Beach Resort. I so love the place - so calm and so quiet with an enticing view of the beach!

having lunch with Julie and Love ;)

the wonderful view as we go along the cruise
dipping into the waters with life vests on

We had the whole day of fun courtesy of Wind and Wave-Davao and it was really worth the experience! It was getting dark when we reached Sta. Ana Wharf from the our cruise. I went home with a happy heart.

Thank GOD really for this Friday!

And...here we go!

1. Where are my pens?
2. If wishes were horses I'd like to wish for many.
3. I'd like to see the brighter side of every pain.
4. When I was a teen, I thought I'd get married on my mid-20's.
5. One of my mother's favorite sayings was be humble at all times.
6. I'd have a hard time doing without my patience.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sleep, tomorrow my plans include work and Sunday, I want to hopefully hear mass!

Off Day Thursday

Nothing much to do on a Thursday.
Was to sleepy that's why I slept during day time (LOL!).
'woke up late afternoon, 'decided to go out.
Planned of going to the mall but got caught with the ongoing mass @ Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.
'went inside, prayed, and stayed there for quite some time.
Silence and being with GOD never fails to make me feel better.
'headed to the mall after and paid my bills.
'ate my fave pasta platter @ Piccolo.
Did some groceries.
Chatted with Ana Francie whom I met @ the mall.
Went home before 9pm.
'ate Goldilock's Caramel popcorn (so yummy!) before going to sleep.
Finally asleep before midnight.

High up on the rooftop - look! A falling crayon!

Welcome to the April 22nd version of Thursday Thunks!
(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want. Write about it on your blog... simple as that. Maybe you can interpret it as a picture - we don't care!
Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post. Please mention us in your post, and link back to the blog here.
Don't forget to go visit the other participants' blogs. Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks! Thats what all this is about afterall, isn't it? We'll have so much fun and become lifelong friends....
The TT questions are brought to you by Berleen, the color of peanut butter cups and the number 10.

My oldest demon (aka Demon #1) is in Oklahoma! The musical this weekend. Yep, my kid is a drama geek. Have you ever been in a play or musical? Were you in the drama club in high school? **as far as I can remember, I was in a play in 1st Grade and I was really too shy that I almost cried on stage, haha! Drama club in high school? Not really me. Not gifted to do some acting.

You are walking down the road and the cops fly by you and stop at the house just a little ways down the street. It's the way you were going to go... do you take a detour to avoid it or do you just keep walking because, hey - you had the idea first! or do you walk by out of complete curiosity? **I'd still keep on walking haha! I won't talk to them when not needed. LOL!

I drop a green crayon from the roof and Kimber drops a yellow one - which one will grow wings and fly before it hits the ground? **I think it's the one I dropped? Haha! Seriously, they can never fly because they crayons are born flightless!;)

What is the first section of the grocery store you go to? And I know that sentence doesn't sound right, but I don't care. ** Doesn't sound right? Still understandable though. ;) As for me, I always go to the meat section first.

Do you like questions that have a yes or no answer or do you like to actually think for yourself and come up with something original? **I prefer lengthy answers because it does sound original.

The wall directly in front of you... whats on it? ** It's just a wall and nothing on it. ;)

Sea salt? **What about sea salt? We have plenty of it in small stores.

420. You know what it is. It's a time, it's a day, it's a way of life. Did you celebrate yesterday? **Yeah, I celebrated life yesterday.

Can you read a tape measure? **Yes I can!:)

The city/town/village that you live in... it's population is.....???? ** Are you in a hurry? Still wanna inquire from our city statistics office (LOL!)

If a laptop fell out of the sky do you think you could catch it? And if you did, do you think it's Finders Keepers? **I think I can catch it as long as it's from the sky where I was at the moment it fell. ;) It's not Finders Keepers cos it's actually meant for me - a heaven's gift!:)

Driving down the highway, driving down the interstate, driving down a dirt road that you are sure goes absolutely nowhere... whats the longest distance you have ever driven in one trip? **haven't tried driving long distance.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? **I lost count!;)

Ambidextrous ; )

I think I really am - an ambidextrous.

As far as I can recall, I have been using my left hand since as a kid whenever I perform acts such as slicing vegetables, turning on the TV, wiping the floor, and etc. I hit a volleyball even with my left hand whenever it's my turn to serve. However, my right hand isn't a waste. I use it for writing. I can write as fast as I can with my right hand. Spoon goes well with my right and the fork with my left. I tried writing using my left hand and I can also write though but not as fast as my right. My penmanship is still readable & clear when I am using my left hand.

Not really worth sharing but it's one aspect of being ME. ;)

Plants VS Zombies Addiction!

Since the existence of Plants VS. Zombies, I can't seem to get myself off the hook! I found myself hunting those zombies down, haha! Every time I finish a game level, I can't wait to get to the next level. At least I got this one form of relaxation that allows me to enjoy it too! Thanks to Marielle (via Twitter) who recommended this game. So addicting really!

The Meme Time Meme

Crazy Sam shot us an email that her friend
Janera was starting a brand new Wednesday meme.
It's called Wednesday Wickedness and if you click
on the logo here you can see a trial run of the meme.
The neat thing is that each week she picks a famous person
and finds ten of their quotes.
Her questions are based on the quotes.
So don't make Sam hunt you down. Give it a shot this week.

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!

Today we ripped off a blogger named Lonnie at the blog In Real Life No. She does not state where she got the meme. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Thank GOD It's Friday! (Week #2)

THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY Pictures, Images and Photos

Since Fridays have gone important to me, 'decided to include an entry of my Friday survival track (I hope I could really survive!) per week and I am indicating how many weeks have gone since that one sad Good Friday.

Today? I knew am on my 2nd week after that one teary Good Friday but I never let that incident occupied the whole of me. I had my day out earlier. So sad I wasn't able to capture my moments outside. Gone bored of just staying home when it's an off day, I decided I should hit the gym (grrr, it's been 2 weeks since my last workout). 'Spent almost three hours @ Holiday Gym & Spa. 'Glad to shake off more than 300 calories by just doing Cardio. I also adhered on my weight training program and I am feeling this pleasurable pain in my arms now. After hitting the gym, 'headed to NCCC Mall to take a glimpse of Davao's 1st Mega Travel Sales Expo at the mall's activity area. Gone hungry that's why I just went to Cebu Pac's booth. Had lunch @ KFC and 'glad I was able to resist on eating more carbo (lol!). After lunch, 'went to the Ateneo, my Alma Mater to visit Nelly (at last you're part of my entry now, yaw na pagselos, lol!) who was then busy with her tasks. Oh, Ateneo has really changed a lot in terms of its physical structure! Realized I've missed Ateneo so much! While paving my way to the Psych Lab (which I almost forgot where it is located, kaulaw!), I can't helped but reminisced my life as an Ateneo student more than a decade ago with friends. Haha, those were the days worthy to be treasured! When I got in the Psych Lab, we already found ourselves chatting like there's no tomorrow! So really glad that Nelly's always there to listen to me when I needed someone I could talk to. Before 5PM, we left the Ateneo premises so she could make it earlier on her 6PM class in another university. To kill the time before her class sked, we went to Anniepie and guess what? She gave me a treat (hahaha! super thank you for that). As usual, we chatted again and this time it was different. She got me to share my 'other' side (hahaha!). Well, I knew she's someone I can count on that's why I did tell my stories without hesitations. We stayed there for almost an hour until it was time we had to leave and oh boy, I was really full at that time! We bade goodbye and I walked my way to the spot (it's a 15-minute walk from Malvar to UM-Bonifacio) where I could get a ride home.

When I got home, I felt that I've accomplished something for the day and it gave me this smile in my face now as I write down this entry. =)

So much for now 'til my next TGIF entry next week!

Happy Friday peeps!

Why Fridays Are Important

Fridays have become unforgettable for me lately. To some, it's T.G.I.F. but yours truly considered this certain day as important as a birthday or any special occasion one can think of.

It all started on a Good Friday of 2010 when we commemorated Christ's death. Just as He died on the cross, I was also torn into bits. I was hurt on that specific day. There were realizations made. Part of it was my sound decision to detach and try to get rid on the cause of my hurt feelings.

Yes, I cried and I grieved because I knew I was at that time on the brink of losing that once beautiful friendship which was unexpectedly broken. I can never really forget that day when all I could remembered doing was telling GOD how much hurt I was getting into.

Just as Jesus recited His Seven (7) Last Words, it was also on that same day when I last expressed what were meant to be conveyed.

Such occurrence on a Good Friday marks the start of how Fridays have become important lately.

Friday Fill-Ins

And...here we go!

1. I'd like to correspond but respects your silence.
2. One of my most favorite romantic memories is you and I talking.
3. Last night, I had a 'bangus' recipe for dinner.
4. Sorry for the mess I make.
5. Can we start over again now?
6. One of my worst temptations is ICE CREAM; so hard to resist!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to get a goodnight sleep, tomorrow my plans include meeting Ann before work and Sunday, I want to hear mass!

She Remembers...

I was waiting to get a ride back home when a bit chubby lady came near me. I was surprised cos I honestly didn't recognize her at all. She then called me by name and thought that she really knew me. She asked me how on earth did I am able to switch jobs from an office girl to a medical professional now. While she talked, I slowly gathered my memories back when I was still an HR staff until I was able to remember her. She was one of the aspiring applicants back then whom I've crossed paths with. She couldn't even forget how our conversation went at the time of the interview. We talked for a while until she bade goodbye.

Nothing really important but still glad that there are really some people who still gets to remember you and somehow is grateful enough that their lives have been touched . ;)

Thursday Thunks... late again. bite me.

Welcome to the April 15th (Tax Day) version of Thursday Thunks!
(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)

Got your taxes done? ** A portion of my salary goes to our taxes. Perhaps our accounting office is busy doing that and did submit and pay our taxes already.

What do batteries run on? ** it's a chem thing ;)

What do chickens think we taste like? ** do they got brains?

What do they call a French kiss in France? **it's still a French Kiss though LOL

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor and dishwashing liquid made with real
lemons? ** Lemon juice got an artificial flavor because it's cost effective hahaha! Dishwashing liquid on the other hand is made with real lemons because they're said to best remove stains and stuff..

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? **Once or twice will do.

I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away? ** Haha! I think the person who got the call rushes immediately to the bathroom because he got an irritating diarrhea.. LOL

So Mel Gibson left his girlfriend - think he's finally heard of me? **Why don't you just wait? I know Mel Gibson will come to you.. Be patience dearie.. ;) LOL

Why do they call it "getting your dog fixed" if afterwards it doesn't work anymore? ** Oh at least they've tried fixing it.. LOL

Are you bothered that I didn't number these? **NO, not really ;)

There's a Froggie Treasure Hunt going on... winner wins a $20 Amazon gift certificate ~ Why haven't you joined ICForums and started playing yet?

Work, Work, Work!

Yeah! I am working too hard these days! Imagine, I can manage to work now for 7 days straight in one of the heaviest wards in the hospital facility where I am in. Two days ago, I even managed to work on straight sixteen (16) hours. Beat that? I was working from 7AM until 11PM, plus I skipped lunch because we're gone too busy managing a high hospital census! I just hope I'd always be healthy so I can cope up with the demands of my job.

The hardest part encountered? I am working too hard in the environment I am still trying to love. I love my job but I don't love being "there".

Silence In Progress

My health is at risk recently. I always work for longer days and I only get to rest for a few hours. My eyes too are overly exposed to computers and laptop that's why I promised myself I won't be Facebooking until I am really okay physically. Another thing is, I also wanna deviate myself from what happens to be a usual occurrence. I wanna engage more in silence so I could contemplate, I could realize some things, and also take time to be one with GOD. This is what i wanna accomplish for the time being, away from the computer and from Facebooking.

Today we ripped this meme off blogger named Chibi Pon from the blog Please Don't Stop the Music. She states that she grabbed it from a friend on Nettby XD. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. It is a long meme, so we will do it in two parts. Today is part two. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Cheers to all of us thieves!

The Day When God Died

Good Friday is always meant to be a silent day. This is in commemoration of God's death as He died on the cross after saying His seven (7) Last Words.

This year's Good Friday, I was one with God in suffering. I was one with Him in His sacrifices. I felt like I was also carrying my own cross. That day was the day I considered my darkest, the day I considered the thought of trying to let go of things not meant for me.

Thank You Lord Jesus for being My Refuge and My Strength.

Holy Week 2010

In observance of the Lenten season, we are tasked to pay tribute to the Lord for saving the world with our sins. Let us give importance on God's sacrifices for the slavery of our sins to the extent of giving up HIS life to death so we could all be saved.

Let us reflect, contemplate, pray, and repent.

Jampacked Sked!

It's been almost a week since my last entry. As usual, work is eating up much of my time and the whole time when there's no work, I always make it a point to devote it to rest and relaxation. This week's sked has been tough! I got to work for 7 days straight in a row. Thank GOD I've been blessed with a healthy body and is endowed me with a pack of optimisms. Despite my hectic skeds, I still make it a point to hit the gym whenever I can. Today is officially my off day - just one ordinary day to sleep, rest, relax, and do some sort of de-stressing. Tomorrow, I'd be back on my feet again at work. ;)
