Surprised! Someone's Reading My Blog ;)

When I hit the post button of my entry on this week's Sunday Stealing, I immediately viewed the whole of my blog and checked on my Live Traffic Feed. Good thing there's a real time gadget that allows me to view from where is the person checking on my blog and allows me to check from which website did the person come from before arriving on my site. Just this moment, I noticed that this person really searched for my site because it was indicated that this person typed in the official URL of my site. To the person concerned, who hails from Beverly Hills, CA thanks for reading my blog. If I happen to know you, please let me know who you are and also my gratitude for taking time to read it. :)
God Bless!;)

Sunday Stealing: The Pretentious Blogging Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger known as
Little Bark from the blog The Tree Unleashed She explains that she found it over at The Tree of Life. It appears it originated on that blog. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Cheers to all of us thieves!

Sunday Stealing: The Pretentious Blogging Meme

1. How long have you been blogging? *I've been blogging since Friendster days, like 5-7 years ago?;)

2. What made you start? *I used to own a diary but later got tired of having to get a notebook and a pen just to write. I instead stumbled upon Friendster blogs and started to make my diary there and eventually transferred here in Blogger.

3. Who inspired you? * No one. My feelings, my experiences, my opinions will always be my reasons why I write, why I speak out loud in my blogs. ;)

4. About how many hours a week would you estimate you spend on your blog? *It became rarer now because I am always engaged with work but before? I used to post blog entries almost everyday.

5. What kind of experience or background do you have with writing? *Does being a school paper contributor counts? I was once a contributor/staff of a high school school paper (haha!) I never had journalism/creative writing subjects in college. However, my posts aren't the essay type. I often write experiences and opinions.

6. Talk about how you come up with blog topics. Where do you get your ideas? *Most of my topics are based from my experiences, stories, and opinions. I write what I need to express.

7. What or who inspires you and your blog? * I am always inspired by another blogger's everyday story here in the blogosphere.

8. Where and/or how do your brainstorming for your blog? * I don't have time for that. I immediately write what I have to say.

9. Do you have any blogging rules or guidelines you follow? *None.

10. Is there anything you will not blog about? *Yes. I don't really mention names especially if it's a hate post haha! ;)

11. Do you have any sort of a publishing schedule in terms of day of week or topic? *None. I immediately publish my entry after making my post.

Thank you for playing this week on Sunday Stealing! Please leave a comment or link when you have posted. Feel free to stop back and visit other player’s posts. Have a great week. See you next Sunday!

Saturday 9: Everybody is a Star

Welcome to Saturday: 9 . What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Everybody is a Star

1. Did you ever think that you'd be a star? If yes, doing what? *I think I can be best as one of the back up vocals in a concert (haha!) if and only if my time would only be devoted to it and I am not working on anything professionally. :)

2. Tell us about the last time you had a romantic dinner. *can't remember cos it was just a date and I wasn't into the guy I had once dated, haha!

3. Tell us about your worst job interview. *the worst? I was still fresh from college and it was a panel interview at a university in Cebu. It was the first among my firsts interviews! I found it the worst because I was tasked to talk about Guidance and Counselling which I only knew through college, haha!

4. Tell us about your stupidest date. * The date was just in a parking lot, haha! And take note, he has no car, LOL. We just sat on the benches, shared stories for an hour, and parted ways!;)

5. How much in common do you think you should have with a romantic partner? *I think we should have more common interests so that it is likely for us to have a clash or any misunderstanding that usually result from opposing interests.

6. Tell us about a favorite meme that you loved but no longer posts. *Thursday Thunks, cos I think they haven't resumed yet and no new surveys to answer.. ;)

7. How did you get into blogging? * It started out as a diary when I was still in my elementary/primary years and internet wasn't invented then. Because of the evolution of internet that comes with the latest technology that we have, I found some sites (such as Blogger) where I can write stuff of about anything, including an online diary such as this site. :)

8. Do you share all your fantasies with a significant other? *I don't have a significant other now but there's someone I can considered "one" (haha!) and yes, we both share all our fantasies including the impossible ones.. LOL!

9. What change in your life would you like to happen this year? *I want a renewed ME -someone strong, someone who can be assertive enough, and someone successful in my spiritual, career, and personal life!:)

Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. Missing My Niece on Holidays

Celebrating 2009 Holidays is one of the bestest holidays in our family history. It was celebrated with serenity, togetherness, with the family- Dad, Mom, Bro, Sis, and ME - complete and intact. However, we missed my one and only darling niece who spent her holidays away from us, and not with us. Situations have gone complicated whenever we wanted her to be with us. There's this "salarin" who always tend to deprive her of what she deserves! To avoid troubles, we painfully take each situation concerning her as a trial, a trial that we hope would soon be over. We tried to make the most of our Holidays day by day. I know my parents would generally be more happier if JJM's with us. One day, I made a text attempt. I sent a message to the the closest kin of the mother asking her how's JJM. I told her to give my hugs to her. While doing that texting incident, I just couldn't help but cry. I started to reminisce days I spent with my pamangkin. I try to hide my tears cos I didn't want my parents to feel sad too! It would have been a more happier Christmas if she stayed with us. I so missed my niece so much na jud!

Time Heals All Wounds

Sometime next week, a friend of mine will be walking down the aisle to marry the man she truly loves. It's unbelievable how time flies. This friend of mine had been brokenhearted two Christmases ago and I saw her burst into tears while a few had been chatting with her about her wrecked love life. But look at her now? She's damn happy! Time really heals all wounds. I feel the happiness that envelops her now and I hope she will have a lasting marriage with her beau. Congratulations Janet D. :)

Updates!

Looks like this blog has been idled for days, LOL. Well, can't just find time to blog everyday cos lately, I had morning shifts at work. I'm always in a hurry to go for work so I won't be late. I'm always a busy bee whenever I'm at work especially in the morning. At least for the rest of the week, my skeds have become okay. Can't wait for off days though!

Wassup lately? Nothing much. I still am coping with all the pressures aimed at me in my new environment. Glad that I get to learn day by day. Tasks are still the same from other wards but I need to master the policies in that specific area. Friendships? I'm happy with them especially those I used to be with at work. I am also trying to build new friendships for now. My personal life? I'm single and unattached but I am enjoying the comfort I shared with this person I knew of. ;)

This is all for now and I am hoping for a greater life for me and for my family this 2010 ;)

Sunday Stealing:The Current Obsessions Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Let's go!

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger and blog named Minnestota Mom. We stole one of our first memes from her after we started this blog. That was back on September 7, 2008. The big difference is the Minnesota Mom actually wrote this meme! She tells us about herself: "My passions are reading, art in its many forms, and health. And I love cookies. Lots of cookies. Does that go with health? Probably not. But I loves ‘em anyway…" (We did add some questions to fit our format length.) Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Instructions: Answer the Current Obession category and then explain WHY you chose that response. Easy enough? Thanks as always for playing!

OB Trying Moments!

It's been a week since I started working in a different environment. I admit I was having a hard time dealing with all my firsts. I well knew the duties and responsibilities of a nurse but for Pete's sake I also need to know how to go about dealing issues and concerns in the ward. I never even had an idea bout the ward's physical arrangement until I discovered them and never had an inch where to find the materials, equipments, and even simple diagnostic request forms! I still got basketful of patience though. I know all these will pass. Optimism still plays the key in everything. I hope I can cope up with the changes and ditch homesickness away.

Information Error

It's damn funny how a story was told many years ago. It's so unbelievable because I was the one involved in the story and I well knew how it went. Okay, am not blaming the person though but if it made him felt better that time, then be it. At least I was made to believe too that he was gone too serious with how he felt. At least, he did. I hope this would mean that I'm totally ready to face a new tomorrow, on my personal life. ;)

Friday Fill-Ins: #158

And...here we go! Tip of the hat to The Beatles this week :-)

fridayfillin.gif

1. There are places I indeed consider memorable.
2. Winds blow those clouds away.
3. Standing in the dark drives me to become nervous.
4. Don't make promises you can keep oh boy.
5. He went out tiger hunting and found none.
6. Reminiscing keeps my mind from wandering .
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to work (again!), tomorrow my plans include sleeping and Sunday, I want to hopefully hear mass!

This Someone

Despite how sad I am for my rotation, I still have many reasons to be grateful of. Right now, I am in the verge of liking someone. More of a "like" thingy than otherwise. The blossoming friendship makes me dig deeper toward that person. However, it's nothing more than that. I don't wanna dwell much cos I knew the consequences it may bring. I don't wanna risk hurting (again!). Let's just leave up to that idea that I am liking this someone, and that's it!:)

My Pedia Days Are Over, Next Comes OB!

I once had this wish sometime in 2008 to be rotated in any other ward other than Pedia Main with whom I got firsthand feedback that it's one of the busiest wards in the hospital where I worked for. I was once warned that I should be careful with what I wished for. I never cared though for as long as it's a wish until one fine day of December 2009 that I was re-warned about it. It was a colleague who informed me via text message that I'd no longer be in Pedia Main starting January 1 of 2010. Since December is a merry-making month, I never bothered to think much deeply bout my rotation. However on my last final days @ Pedia on the last week of December, I felt different. The thought that I'd no longer be there made me sad. The thought that I'd be leaving (okay, I already left), makes me miss the memories spent on that crowded and busy area. But like I said, I have to cope up with every change. I finally learned to accept that it is just one of life's realities. Right now, I feel like I am a newbie @ OB Ward. I feel like an alien. I still have to familiarize everything. I need to consider a lot of things. I know I can't grasp all of the policies for now because for Pete's sake I'm still on my 4th day of duty today but I know in due time I can get by. I know I'll get by. I just hope that my OB Ward experience will be as great as the experience I had with Pedia.

Again, goodbye Pedia Main, hello OB Ward!

My 2009 Holidays

Despite my being preoccupied at work, I still managed to enliven my spirit for the Holidays. I was able to spend time with my family and friends and shared memorable moments with them.

On December 7, 2009, I was one of the attendees of Pedia Christmas Party thrown by the Pediatrics Department specifically the doctors. The party was entitled "Starry, Starry Night" which was fun with door prizes and gifts given to all of us. It was a fun night spent with doctors, nurses, and staff of Pedia Department. I found the singing of the finale song, "Ang Star ng Pasko" very memorable and symbolical.

On December 11, colleagues and I were invited to join a simple Christmas gathering by our Pedia Batch '09 Trainees. We had dinner at Mang Manok and whine the night away having fun while singing, dancing, and drinking..

On December 13, 2009, I was a living witness to the Christening of Jasmine Myles Cero, a close friend's daughter where I served as one of the godmothers. It was a great opportunity to have been given that role in a person's life. My apologies that I still haven't gotten pics from it.

On December 19, I spent my last Christmas Party with my Pedia Main family. We spent it @ Corlin's family-owned garden area. We spent time eating, camwhoring, playing games, drinking, and of course singing and dancing until morning!;)

On December 24 was my parent's Wedding Anniversary. Had dinner at home with the family and off I went for work at 11PM. While the rest of the world were celebrating Noche Buena with their families, I myself celebrated it with my co-Pedia family and we got a lot of fooooods in store for the celebration!;)

On December 26, 2009, I went to Eden Nature Park and Resort with my family, my sister's Christmas treat to us. It was one of the rarest moments that we hanged out together as a family. We dearly missed my beloved niece though but nothing beats the feeling when we're together as a family. I enjoyed the moment spent with them plus I enjoyed my first sky ride experience!;)

On December 30, 2009, I went home to my so-called hometown where I spent most of my growing years from birth to high school, to celebrate and welcome the New Year 2010 with my family. It was one of the rarest moments too! We welcomed 2010 with a bang with bunch of fireworks after hearing the New Year's Mass. On New Year's Day, January 1, 2010, we spent hours on the beach in an island. I enjoyed such private moments with my family which rarely do happen because of the skeds that we all have.

...These are just the memories I had while spending my 2009 Holidays! Those were all worthy to be treasured! I so love these moments wanting all these to be relive again of course with family and friends!

As I was sitting alone on these fine white sands of this beautiful island on a New Year's Day, I was faced with this thought: Will 2010 be a better year for me? Will the desires of my heart be granted? I am armed with optimisms though, hoping my 2010 and the coming years will get better and better.

My Apologies

I feel like I've neglected this blog for some time. My negligence can really explain how busy I am lately and I guess I will be much more busier still because I am now working in a different unit that means I need to cope up with these so-called adjustments. From the bottom of my heart, my apologies for not updating. I mean, this is not so me! I've been a blogger and this has been my haven but I am just neglecting it. I won't make promises anymore. I'd be updating when I can. Belated Happy Holidays!
