Good News, Another Challenge!

Just this week, I was informed with something I considered a good news! Well, it's actually going to happen soon and I'm just counting the days left, and that is my so-called duty rotation. At least, it would be a wish being granted before the year 2010 ends.

I know this will be another great challenge for me and another series of adjustment to take.
I am keeping my fingers crossed and I hope I'd be guided in this path.

I've Decided!

I thought of not doing this, but I've finally decided that I should send cards (at least) to a person who gave me the courage to be strong, and who taught me that life is not at all a bed of roses. I am greatly indebted with the way I've been molded to who I am now. If not because of the trials encountered with the person, I may not have been able to know the true meaning of acceptance and defeat.

Things may have turned out unexpectedly, but I've learned lessons the hard way!;)

My 2010

In a few more days, the year 2010 is about to end. As of this writing, I still keep on recalling how my 2010 has been. Well, it's never getting worst or it has never been that better though. I could still feel that I haven't achieved much this year, except for the fact that I got frequent family dates which I found so memorable all the time.

Generally, the year 2010 is just like any other in my entire life. There are some big events though that we're happening, however, it is during this year that I've been given some great challenges that I should say, have influenced me to be how I am now. This year I should say is very unforgettable! It is during this time in my entire life that I've been exposed to an environment which I really had a hard time in adjusting. I always feel like I'm a neophyte. I have great good colleagues and there's no doubt about it. However, I just got this very feeling of being deprived. I feel like I've been ripped off with some rights = the very reason that every moment spent in there is always a 'trying moment'. Well, it's never too late though. I tried to become submissive NOW to every concern I'm tasked to accomplish, if that's the only thing to find my heart at peace in there.

This year, I'm becoming less of a party-goer. I think I've outgrown that already. Friendships do remain and I still find time to bond with them. However, I am missing my Pedia family so much this year! *sighs*

When it comes to family matters, I'm glad we got to bond now frequently. Thanks to my Dad, a then disciplinarian-turned-a-very-cool-dad, who makes every effort to unite us all, along with my mom.

As the year ends, I only want to savor the good memories spent. For next year and to all the coming years, my major major wish is to have a 'peace of mind' in everything! I wanna live life like there's no tomorrow while doing the things I love to do, and of course with the people I love in my whole life.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

2011: A New Uniform Year For Us

It's almost been two years since we've been using our white uniform. We are told that the uniform we've been using will be good for two years. Oh my, how fast time flies! And next year? We'll be changing our uniforms again, and that would mean, another amount to be deducted from our pockets. Oh how I really wish nursing scrubs would be our next preferred uniform!

By the way, I've really wanted to have scrubs as our nurse uniform. I can't forget the time when I was obliged to instantly report for work and since I haven't laundered my uniform yet, I was told I could use my scrubs. And guess what? I felt really comfortable on it. It's hassle-free and you won't get afraid getting dirty on it. Even if I had gone busier at that time, I just felt so comfortable because of the scrubs I was wearing.

For now, I am still keeping my fingers crossed hoping that my hopes will be addressed upon. I mean, working with nursing scrubs could be easier plus the fact that it won't cost much owning pairs of it. I knew there are cheap scrubs out there.

Well, it's Christmas anyway and I hope this Christmas wish will be granted.

I Missed Blogging!

I've really missed blogging. Again, my apologies for being so neglectful on my part. Work skeds, trips, some minor worries - they all kept me away from updating! Gosh, it's been 2 weeks since I haven't updated! So guilty really bout it.

Where was I for two weeks?
Ok, shoot! Will tell. I was in Palawan last November 8-10, 2010 & I was having a whole lot of fun with my nursing school buddies. Thank GOD really for the gift of friendships! Sad part though was we LOOSSST the cam that captured most of our escapades to some dishonest fellows! However, it was a blast and we never regretted anything despite the lost cam.

When I got home from that wonderful getaway, I was faced with too many AM shifts that kept me from the cyberworld for a couple of days. When I finally had my off day last Tuesday, my niece also celebrated her 11th birthday with us and again, family went to another day out at Emar's Wavepool in Matina. End result? I've become dark but I think being tanned is the best description to the skin color I got to own now.

I'd really wanna make up for the days I never get to blog.
I hope I can update from time to time starting today!;)

Lovin' Quality Time with Family

In my age right now, I have thoroughly appreciated each quality time spent with my family. That despite the trials we are facing, we still manage to combat them and thank GOD, we're still intact. This proves that despite some misunderstanding that we had, the family still matters the most to us.

These days, family gathering becomes frequent which I so appreciate! I am just thankful for having wonderful parents which I'll always be proud of, because they always find time to spend quality moments with us. I thank my Dad for being the financial provider for every precious moment spent.

I was lucky enough last weekend because my work sked cooperated. After my morning shift last Saturday, the 5 of us including my darling niece and my maternal cousin, headed to SM and watched a movie. We got to watch 'RED' starred by Bruce Willis. Tired as I was to the point that I slept in some parts of the movie, I still got this inner joy in my heart as I went to sleep on that day. The next day, I was surprised when I learned that we'd be having our videoke session. That Sunday night was really fun family moment to boast of.

Really I am very grateful for the gift of family - my family which can never be trade of for anything!

I LOVE you, my family!;)

Nicey Thursday! =)

Despite heading home almost 2AM this morning after a toxic pm duty shift and despite my being sleepless, I still managed to make my Thursday great!

I was on a 'ngarag' mode when I checked on my phone that read 8:05AM and I had a wedding to attend at 8AM. Quickly, I took a shower and fixed myself. It really took me so long to get myself prepared because of some interruptions. Anyhow, I got to the wedding reception venue past 10AM and the program just started. I was caught with the newlyweds dancing to the tune of 'So Close', which is one of my favorite songs. It almost got me teary eyed seeing them with their glows in their eyes on how much they really love each other. I am so much happy for the girl because finally she found someone who really deserved to have her. I even forgot to take a pic of them dancing because I was so amazed just watching them danced. I felt honored having been invited as a guest to witness their vows together in marriage. My best wishes to you guys!;)

I left the reception venue with Ate Ces, a person whom I crossed paths with in SPMC. We went to Basti's Brew and we talked for like almost 2 hours!;) We had a great conversation and I learned so much from her!=) So nice to have bumped into her, I found an instant and real person in her.

'went home past 3PM happy. :)

Just Another Low Moment

I succumb again to another low moment in life. I am attacked with criticisms. What hurts the most is when I can only see myself fighting. Friends are there but so hard to tell them my innermost feelings. Yeah, I am always a listener but when it comes to my friends, I don't think there's someone courageous enough to really listen to what I have to say. In times when I feel so low, I can only think of a few friends who got the heart to listen but sad to note that they're not with me now. They're all living a life abroad! I so missed these people who can really understand how I am feeling.

I know everything happens for a reason and this too will pass!

How To Remove Images On Google Images Search?

HEEELPPP!

Seriously, I need help with this. I recently googled a certain topic and surprisingly, I saw my pic on its Google Image Search results. I never had an idea since I started blogging that pics being blogged could certainly appear on Google. It's getting me confused. =( I've already deleted pics on that certain post but it still appears on the image search.

Can someone tell me how to remove selected images from the Google Images search results? I surfed through google but I can't simply understand how. I need a step by step instruction on how to do it.

I hope I get an answer to this.

Unforgettable Pinoy Tearjerker Films!

This afternoon is different among all my Sunday afternoons. It's the day I shed tears by just watching two movies in a row! Beat that? Thanks for today because I didn't get any work duty (it's an off day!). I woke up from a graveyard shift and immediately, turned on the TV here in my room.

Getting a first glimpse of Judy Ann on TV made me thought that it must be the movie I'd loved to watch over and over again. True enough, it really was! I made myself comfortable and watched the entire film. Oh well, I was shedding some tears (as expected!). I was in love with Piolo Pascual's personality in the film that I even thought of having someone like him. I loved the 'togetherness' they shared as they both paved their way to Banawe then to Sagada in the film. I've realized that one can actually be drawn to each other when they've shared moments together. I was still in tears when the movie ended up.

The next movie was shown was another tearjerker! This time, it's entitled 'One More Chance', another movie flick when it was released by Star Cinema. As usual, it was again about L.O.V.E. and giving chances on love. Being the emotional person that I am even if I got impressions that I am one of the strongest women known, I was again into tears! I loved the great lines being mentioned by the lead stars. Plus, the theme song of the movie was also great which was performed by Mr. Piolo Pascual. I found the movie so realistic because this type of love story happens in the real world!

Whoa! What really great films to make my afternoon right! It made me realized that I still should believe in love even if I am quite disappointed with love for a very, very long time.

If I'd get to choose which Pinoy films should I watch over and over again, I'd still pick on these two! Kudos to the makers of these films!

No More LATES!=)

Not really important though BUT to me, it is. Haha.

Seriously, I am now trying to go to work as early as possible. I can't afford to get tardy (again!). I've already learned my lesson when I was late for about 30 minutes because I woke up so late after getting back to sleep. I am just happy now that my effort paves off.

So happy!=)

Afternoon Shift Beauty!=)

Sorry for not blogging the past few days!=)
Yours truly can't update it much often because I got PM shifts. I usually leave home at 2PM and go home at most 2AM.=) More time is denoted to sleeping (of course!), which is my way of getting back all my used energies at work. This is the routine I still am trying to cope. With the successive PM shifts that I have in my work sked, perhaps I could manage it in time, I hope in the soonest possible time.

Sunday Stealing: Another 50 Questions Meme, Part One (perhaps!)

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!

Today we ripped this meme of a blogger known as Nigel Vanstone at Away for a Bit. Nigel explains that he was tagged to do the meme, but does not credit the blogger. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. He promises to post the next 25 questions, soon. If he writes them by next Saturday, we will complete his meme. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Cheers to all of us thieves!

Fun Filled Friday

I should have posted this last week BUT I got so busy. Thus, I am posting it now.

Two Fridays ago, it was an OFF day. Happiness was all over me because it was the day when my family realized our plan of watching 'The Legend Of The Guardians: The Owl Of Ga'Hoole' on a 3D Cinema. I got so excited because my niece was also with us. We hit the movies with popcorn in our hands on their 6.20PM slot. I really felt comfortable during the whole time while watching because we got the upper deck which is way a bit expensive compared to the lower deck. And the happiest person inside the movie house? It was my niece! :D I also felt happy inside because it was the first time all of us went to the movies with her. Despite the cold temperature inside the cinema, I did enjoy watching the film on 3D.

After watching the film, my family went home except for me who's having another appointment on that same night: a night-out invitation with new friends at work. I arrived past 10PM and they already started singing. It was indeed a night of FUN and LAUGHTER worthy to be remembered!:D

I went home still HAPPY!:D

Why BLUE?

A week ago, I posted an entry about me feeling BLUE. And as promised, here I am now trying to dissect why. It's been a few days and thank GOD, I was able to gather words and put them altogether here.

In my recent posts, I keep on mentioning about lost friendships, etc and yes, this is indeed a friendship that is at the brink of falling out and I guess it really has to end soon. My reasons? I got tired of chasing. I got tired of trying to bridge the gap. I got tired of trying to make it work again. We built friendship and we spent six (6) joyous months just by being happy. We chatted. We talked. We laughed. I was more of a listener which I did enjoy doing and I was a bit of a comforter when the other party got confused. I think I was even a counselor too! However, a trial rocked the friendship. I was solely blamed for it. Those 5 joyous months was outnumbered by seven (7) grueling months of trying to get the friendship back. I begged, I asked, but no action was taken. Silence was the most painful part of the ordeal like you really don't know how the other person is feeling. I was too hopeful because of the assurance that the person will 'always be there' for me. Too bad to realize that it was really just a BIG LIE.

GOD, my family, my work, my friends - so glad that they kept me away from thinking too hard about this ordeal. Moments spent with those 'true' and 'real' people were all superb! Little by little, I gained strength. Each day I face gives me strength. The more I pray to GOD, the more I gained strength. Dealing with people from all walks of life even makes me feel better because I realized that my concern isn't as difficult as theirs.

What made me realized the whole thing? It's when someone of the closest kin warned me not to bother the person anymore cos I might end up getting hurt. Twas like an ice shower was poured all over me when I read her message BUT - I am really, really thankful to her because she's the key opener to how I should really deal with the situation. I admit it was painful reading her message BUT she made me open up my eyes to ever realize everything.

The hurt is still in my heart.
The pain is still there.
But the intensity has lowered, day by day.
I can't wait on the day when I can feel the pain no more.

Living life right now is a bit better. Things have gone better. I am trying to face each new day without ever thinking about the person who really wrecked the friendship himself. The whole experience gave me lessons to learn. I gained strength. I was never a coward but in fact became braver. Thanks to this experience for it resharpened the whole of me as I get to spread my 'shiny wings' again.

To the person who once made this friendship special but is not strong enough to fight and save the friendship, you just honed me to become a strong and a fearless woman who's not afraid to fight with life. =)

BLUE Equals ME =(

Blue equals ME. Blue=Me. Oh, whatever!
Can't think of right words to express how I am feeling now.
Can't think of what to say.
All I knew for NOW is that -
I am just feeling so BLUE.

I promise I'll get back to this topic.
I'll get back to this once I can find the right words to say.
I know, in time, I can be able to express it.
Anytime. Soon.

One Fine Saturday

I was fortunate to have weekends as my off day. As expected, it did become memorable especially on that one fine Saturday.

Last Saturday was a 'gala or la-ag' day with my sis, including her friend Jen. I felt good because at least we're able to really bond as sisters which we rarely do because of conflicting work schedules. Early morning on that day, I was already informed that we'll be visiting 1st Asia's Bird Fair which was situated in Insular Century Hotel in Lanang. She told me to get things done after lunch so we could be on time as we meet her friend in a designated place. Knowing that my sister is too much engrossed with her hobby in photography, I got excited!

It was past 3:45 when we reached the venue of the said event. A lot of people were there. I saw very colorful booths with bird posters/banners in it and I was fascinated with how those posters were made. Colors were just so alive!

I saw real birds too! But only limited to a few.

I've learned that the said event was participated by different foreign nationals showcasing the beauty also of the birds found in their home country. Glad I was able to take a look at our Philippine National Bird - which is the Philippine Eagle. As we headed out of the venue, I was mesmerized in the said fair's photo gallery where it showcased the amazing photos of great professional photographers. Take note, some photos were considered sold already! We can't help but take a pic also of what's in there.

We finally got out of the fair's premises and found ourselves very hungry! We ate at Boyd's and had Meaty Jeff's Pizza and a carbonara recipe. Since my sis and I were craving for durian on that same night, we stopped by at a certain restaurant and satisfied our craving.

We finally went home, feelin' tired but so happy!

Three Days OFF from Work

I surprisingly got three (3) off days since Saturday until Monday of this week. A colleague requested that we exchanged work shifts on different dates. I used to think I got bored doing nothing on my off days. I even think spending time online isn't worth it cos I might just have eye discomforts again. However, I've learned to embrace my off days lately because I can do things I haven't done in my normal working days and the best feeling I always get? I am fully recharged once I get back to work.

Last Saturday wasn't a wasted day. I went to visit 1st Asia's Bird Fair together with my sis and her friend (I am going to write another post about it). I had fun during that day. The next day, I cleaned the house and I got to convince my brother to help me clean our canal which was then being clogged. It was a very tough job to do and I had body pains. My consolation? I've gone strolling with my sis inside the mall, we ate, and we bought something home. On my 3rd off day, I chose to just stay home to minimize expenses I could have incurred. I spent hours online, just browsing interesting pages. I also got a good night sleep!

I thank GOD for this opportunity such as my off days!

Wednesday Wickedness: Paul McCartney

Hi and welcome to Wednesday WickednessWe are like other memes in that we will ask you ten questions each and every Wednesday. But our little "twist" is that each week we will pick a famous person and pick ten of their quotes. Each of our questions will be based on the quotes. The quotes are in bold. Got it? Great! Let's begin this week's meme!

Today we picked Paul McCartney. Here's Wednesday Wickedness!

1. “George wrote Taxman, and I played guitar on it. He wrote it in anger at finding out what the taxman did. He had never known before then what could happen to your money.” No one likes paying taxes. But do you think the tax system is fair? **Not really that fair!

2. “I definitely did look up to John. We all looked up to John. He was older and he was very much the leader; he was the quickest wit and the smartest.” What did you think of John Lennon? **He's one of legends in the music industry.

3. “I saw that Meryl Streep said, I just want to do my job well. And really, that's all I'm ever trying to do.” How do you approach your job whether in the workplace or at home?
4. “I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird.” Have you found that you have more tolerance for unusual people as you get older? **Yes. I just noticed it lately as I get to see and talk to new faces I've met.

5. “I don't take me seriously. If we get some giggles, I don't mind.” How seriously do you take yourself? **Seriously!

6. “I think people who create and write, it actually does flow-just flows from into their head, into their hand, and they write it down. It's simple.” Does your blog writing just flow from your head, or is it a lot of effort? ** Writing entries just flow in my head. I even blog about uninteresting entries. LOL.

7. “Think globally, act locally.” Do you do anything to help your local community? **Yes. I manage to clean our canals which is a very tough job. I always get body pains after.

8. “When you first get money, you buy all these things so no one thinks you're mean, and you spread it around. You get a chauffeur and you find yourself thrown around the back of this car and you think, I was happier when I had my own little car! I could drive myself!” Have you ever had a period where you felt that you were set financially? **No, not yet. I guess I still need to strive hard long before I can feel that.

9. “Lyricists play with words.” Do you think what you write on your blog is clever or just ordinary and why? **I think they're just ordinary. Nothing extraordinary I guess.

10. “Where I come from, you don't really talk about how much you're earning. Those things are private. My dad never told my mum how much he was earning. I'm certainly not going to tell the world. I'm doing well.” Who in your circle knows how much money your family makes? **Nobody. Each of us get to earn and we never talked about our earnings. LOL.

Thanks for checking out our Wednesday craziness. We hope you join us again. Please visit our other player's posts and make a comment. Join us next week for our next meme!

Chocolates Are My New Bestfriends!

I can't stop from eating chocolates these days! Thanks to the sponsors who gave me all these as their 'pasalubongs' from the US and KSA. Since yesterday, I've already consumed the 3 Musketeers bar plus some Werther's Orginal Caramel Chocolates. I still have a white Hershey's bar inside the fridge. I also consumed a Galaxy chocolate this morning totaling to more than 500kcal. Now I am feeling guilty! I think I'm gonna bulge out again and add some pounds in my weight. Plus, OMG, can't help but think of my recurring migraine! I hope Mr. Migraine won't set in this time.

Despite the giga-calories I've consumed, I still hope I won't have migraine, and that I won't be getting heavier each day! I just so love and enjoy my moments with so-called new bestfriends!

Gambling On The Comforts Of Your Home

I used to think that casino gambling is only done in real casinos. Little did I know that online casino gambling is on the rise and gamblers could just play right at the comfort of their homes. This idea surely brings happiness to all the gamblers out there because it is time consuming and they don't need to dress up and head to a casino outlet.

However, with the rise of online casino gambling, it is so hard to choose which is the best to take. This is the very reason why there are online casino reviews being discussed and rated by experienced gamblers. I mean, playing online casino is no joke because one has the chance to win real money in it!

Getting curious now on how to win real money on online casino gambling? Try to read the reviews of experienced online casino gamblers, choose which is the best online casino, take note of the rules and regulations in online gambling, and you're on the right track to win real money even at the comforts of your home!

Wednesday Wickedness: William Shatner

Hi and welcome to Wednesday Wickedness. We are like other memes in that we will ask you ten questions each and every Wednesday. 2. “But if you want to know the truth, the weirdest thing that has happened has been my discovery that people who attend conventions are filled with love.” What was the last public gathering that you attended where you “felt the love“? ** When I was part of those invited by our trainees and we're having a partey, partey!
