The ABC Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger named Becky from Musings from the Sofa. She credits two bloggers for her theft, the Queen, and also Zoesmom. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Cheers to all us thieves!

Dad's Birthday '09

Dad will be celebrating his 65th birthday tomorrow. He will be celebrating his birthday with us. It will just be a simple family celebration with only us, the family members around. I am just ever thankful to God for giving Dad another year in his life. I hope and pray that he will be more blessed with many more birthdays to come, same with my mom.

To Dad, may you always live a healthy way of life. Thank you for always inspiring us with your love. I love you so much!

Hope The Long Wait Will Be Over, Soon

Yesterday, a meeting was held again for us, the Davao batch. This every other month meeting aims to update us with what's happening to the processing of our papers as we both aim to work outside of the country. It was headed by a representative who came all the way from Baguio City. Just like me, my batch mates are also hopeful that the long wait will be over pretty soon. I know it's a hard work that entails a lot of patience but we're still fighting still on it. We just hope and pray that life will be brighter ahead of us.

The World Mourns Over Michael Jackson's Death

When I woke up this morning, I was surprised to see some status updates from my Twitter friends about Michael Jackson's death. At first I thought it was a hoax since the news did surprise me. I later learned online and was confirmed that he indeed died because of cardiac arrest. Certainly, the world grieves over the loss of the King of Pop who's also such a great icon and a legend in the music industry. I personally was saddened over his loss at a young age of 50. I grew up listening to his songs, I grew up learning to sing his songs. Michael Jackson really did inspire us, his fans and even music talents who idolize him, with his songs who I'm sure will forever be famous and be remembered.

RIP Michael Jackson. You will be truly missed and greatly remembered! Thank you for sharing your music.

Pretty B.U.S.Y.

Been pretty busy lately. That explains my not being able to blog regularly. At least I have some memes to keep this blog site alive! Yeah, it's been a long time since I blog about my personal stories and issues and I really wanted to have that passion again to write. Hope anytime soon I can update you peeps of what's going on in my rollercoaster ride of life. ;) Better get going. I still need to get some rest because I presently have this weakened body now. Don't have the guts to stay too long online. Happy Thursday!

Lose Some Pounds!

Funny cos I thought all the while that I am starting to lose weight after doing some hiphop abs sessions at home coupled with a less rice intake during meals. I even resorted considered having an oatmeal for breakfast and lunch. When I checked on my weight this morning, I was surprised cos it's still the same as before. I still got the same weight! But mind you, I still really feel that I am starting to shed off some pounds, or baka "feeling" ko lang rin siguro. Well, gotta exercise more and eat less! Gotta lose some pounds for real! Or else...my health would be at risk.

My Dream Vacation Plan

I would gladly like to visit Hongkong again. My first visit was quite a quick one and I wasn't able to visit Hongkong's Disneyland. The Ocean Park visit was a bit exciting though but it would have been that great if I happen to visit Disneyland, shop to great malls in the city, and of course witness the Symphony of Lights at the harbor. I also would like to walk along the city streets with some tourists around and be able to catch up the museums, the parks, and the exciting sights of Hongkong. Perhaps I won't get lost by then because the city is tourist-friendly and I still got a map of where to go in Hongkong. How I wish I could visit by July 10-September 30, 2009 period because there's an ongoing Accor Hotels City Super Sale where over 250,000 room nights is on sale! This is actually a very good deal for tourists who wanted to travel along the Asia Pacific regions. If I can just think right now of when to get myself a vacation, I would definitely book an Accor Hotel in between June 23-29, 2009 so I could avail myself those discounted hotel rates. Now I am seriously thinking about getting a vacation between July-September 2009.

If you wish to join Friday Fill-Ins, please click here.
I reread again the post entry of a dear friend who remain the most concerned in my single status these days. Seriously, she's right. I deserve to be happy. I deserve to have this someone meant for me to give me words of encouragement and assurance when all else fails, and to walk hand in hand with me fighting against life's battles. I realized that like her, I too must set things aside for a while. Meaning, I have to slow down a bit in my so-called busy world and pay attention to my "matters of the heart". For now, I am opening my doors to any possibilities without minding its own risks. I may be hurt along the way but I should learn to fight, get hurt and experience the pain, and eventually learn from it.

Meet Up With Relatives

Yesterday when I woke up, I got a message from my sister asking me if I was free @ 5:30PM. I told her I'd be meeting my girl friends that night. She informed me if I could pay a visit to a deceased relative's wake @ Cosmopolitan Funeral Parlor with Aunt Ler. Since Dad was also around, I told her I will be there with Dad. Dad and I left home @ 6PM. There, I met new faces and we were introduced to some of the members of the clan. It was actually my first time to meet some. I realized that the entire clan really is a huge family. I even saw some relatives whom I first saw on Facebook. Well, our deceased relative is a pretty grandmom. Her face is still as beautiful as she was still alive. 'Glad to have bumped unto such peeps.

From the bottom of my heart, my sincere condolences to those who were left by Lola Pilaring.

Joyous Farewell Party

As mentioned in my earlier post, I had the chance to meet a few good friends gathered @ Forest Hill Resort in Ma-a to celebrate DA's Farewell Party. We arrived the place past 5:00PM while others have been waiting for more than an hour already. Just as we arrived, we readily prepared the foods on the table. We had dinner at about 7:00PM. Pictures were also taken. We spent the rest of the night just chatting, did more of taking pictures, and of course did some fun on the pool. We left the resort at around 9:00PM and headed to a friend's place to continue the fun. I left home earlier before 11:00PM because I wanted to retire early and let my body to rest in preparation for my duty this morning. It was fun meeting old friends again and of course, I'd be missing DA's presence who has been the life of the party in all our gatherings.

A Friend's Farewell Party Takes Place Tonight

Tonight, friends and I will be gathered in one place to celebrate DA's farewell party somewhere in Diversion Road, Ma-a. I was supposed to be on duty but since it will be our last bonding moment with her, I asked someone to replace me for work even if I have to sacrifice for a 16 hours of duty tomorrow. I knew we'll be having fun tonight as friends and I will be gathered for this event. By the way, my friend DA is leaving for the US on the 16th to be with her beloved fiance and be united with him in marriage. I am personally happy for her though I am sure she will be dearly missed!

Professional Hacking As A Career

Ages ago, I used to hear a lot of friends saying that some of their email accounts and even their social network profiles got hacked. These so-called hackers can simply manipulate their accounts including their personal information. Then, I thought hackers are the most feared people online because of what they can do, but little did I know that these hackers can somehow be an advantage when we talked about IT security in big companies and firms. Nice Gloomy Thursday!

I came from a graveyard shift this morning. I simply appreciate the gloomy and a bit rainy Thursday weather here in PI. Mind you, I was able to sleep during the day which I rarely do on most days after my graveyard shift. Really a nice day to curl up in bed and just stay home. :)

My Hip-Hop Abs Experience

Because of my quest to lose some weight plus getting myself out of my routinely sedentary life, I decided to give a first hand on my Hip Hop Abs Experience last Sunday after work. Wearing a sando and a pair of shorts minus my rubber shoes, I put on the Hip Hop Abs DVD on the player and began emulating what I've seen on the TV Screen concentrating on their Abs Cult (if I am not mistaken) session. I roughly spent more than 30 minutes doing Hip Hop Abs which left me sweating too hard! I enjoyed most the flooring exercises and their "get busy" steps, LOL. I was tired after the whole experience and did consider redoing it again when I can. A day after, I experienced body aches (the so-called "pama-ul") which I considered as a normal reaction of the body after being unexercised for manyyyyyyy months!:) Now I am just excited to do my hip hop experience again so I could get rid of my flabs and eventually lead a healthier and a sedentary free lifestyle. Ey, am keeping my fingers crossed now and I hope I could be as dedicated as those health freak people who regularly hits the gym.. Will I trim down my food cravings too? Uhm, just having my second thoughts still, hehehe.. :)

Life Becomes Better When You're Hurt ;)

I actually have a hard time starting a post about how recently my life was. I can't exactly find the words that would best give a grasp of how I'm gonna share it here. However, I still really want to impart my so-called "sensitive" side which I hope readers would eventually understand.

I once posted a post about my being on my low ride of life particularly at work. After embracing such lowness, I tried hard to come up with shades of optimisms to neutralize everything. I learn to accept that I can't have every comfort that I desire of. Intentionally, I came to appreciate why things have to be this way and I feel happy about that certain realization. Just a few days back, I got caught with my being "sensitive" again. With my eyes holding back my tears, I recognized the hurt. I confined myself with the feeling until I successfully managed to shy the hurt away. When I got up the next day, I began to feel better (again!). Right now, I am super duper careful about what I say and what I do because the "hang" of getting hurt is still fresh. I am just thankful for those people who always remain "my treasures" during those times I am awfully low.

Today, I am just one heck of a proud person shouting to the whole world that I am now feeling better, stronger, and an inch happier!:)

Hurting and Moving On

I can't anymore remember how many times I got hurt in life. As far as I can remember, every time I succumb into this feeling, I just call on to the Heavens. Thank God, I've always been taken out from agony. I always feel better. I simply understand that hurting is a normal part of life. Given a hurting situation, the person is left with chances whether to hold on or to let go. It is always up to the person how he or she's gonna take it. However, a scar would always left a mark on one's heart.

Hmm, I just made an entry out of it because I recently got offended by someone whom I least expect to get hurt from. Despite the hurt, I still value him as my mentor (and nothing can ever change that). Every time I undergo such dilemma, I always reread a very comforting poem entitled "Scarred People Are Beautiful".

Impatient Me!

Today's not just my day. I lack patience over some stuffs. I was acting superior to anybody. My niece even got scared at me for the first time. Now I feeling guilty for what I did. I already apologize to my niece and good thing, she understood what I meant by saying "sorry". Hmm, it must be the hormones that played crucial role for my being impatient, plus my being physically tired and exhausted! I am in my room now, conditioning myself to sleep early. Hope I wake up tomorrow feeling better. Goodnight world!

Seagull Mountain Resort Getaway (May 2009)

After long discussions of where we would like to have our all-expense paid getaway spent courtesy of our friend, JC who went home for the first time after embarking a nursing profession in New Zealand, we decided to have it @ Seagull Mountain Resort along Davao-Bukidnon Highway, which I think is still part of Marilog District, a two-hour drive from Davao City. A month prior to the said trip, we already had our work schedules fixed and ensured that we will be off on those agreed dates shortly after her arrival from NZ. The dates? It was set on May 24-25, 2009.

At first, yours truly was confused whether to go or not with the group because the place where we would like to go wasn't settled yet. Besides, I also came from a tiring graveyard shift and I badly needed rest and sleep. However, I realized that it's gonna be the only time I can personally meet JC before heading back to NZ. Even if with an already-exhausting feeling, I packed my things quickly and head off to our meeting place.

Friends and I met up @ NCCC Mall along Matina, Davao City during lunch time. So glad to see my friends in their summer attire (and so was I). After buying all the necessary things needed for the said getaway and after paying our getaway accomodation @ Seagull Resorts office in Matina, off we hit the road leading to Seagull Mountain Resort. The trip going to Seagull was fun though there are some minor bumpy roads. The van we rented even had it's machine gone overheated that we needed to have it cool down first. While waiting for the machine to make it cool, we had fun taking pics. Exactly two hours after leaving Davao, we safely arrived @ Seagull Mountain Resort. Immediately, we placed our baggages and stuffs inside our rented cottage which is the 2nd level of the White House. I like our accomodation. It was actually big enough for us. I even wished some friends tagged along with us on that trip. After a few minutes, we found ourselves taking a stroll at Seagull Mountain Resort's great sceneries. We took a whole lot of pics during that stroll. Before it had gone dark, we decided to visit the so-called "waterfalls". We changed in our swimming attires and took a 15-minute walk along the trail going down to the waterfalls. There, we savoured the moments we had even if the said area was already dark with just one light bulb giving us light. Good thing, moments were captured using D's cam. Since it was already dark, we headed back the trailway praying that we could still follow it despite the absence of light posts. Using the lights obtained from the camera and the cellphone, off we walked along the trail going back to the cottage. Walking back in the dark was scary and tiring at the same time. Scary, because it was a walk in the dark, and tiring because we had to heed up again making us experienced a difficulty of breathing and palpitations. After seeing some lights in the main resort, we all felt relieved. Immediately, we bathed and changed our wet clothes. We had dinner after. Friends started drinking tequila and I got my own single shot of it. We had a whole night of fun until dawn time. We slept at 2AM and woke up at 7 that same morning. We had a yummy grilled fish for breakfast. To make use of the remaining time, we agreed to go back again to the waterfalls to witness it on daytime and this time, we never had to walk. We took a shuttle that ushered us to the waterfall site. There we enjoyed the remaining time left just swimming and savouring the cool waters! Past lunch time, we paved our way back to the city sooooo tired but with a happy feeling marked on our faces. Of course, we never failed to get a pose of the famous landmark found along Davao-Bukidnon Highway. We had lunch at the famou "hitohan" somewhere in Calinan. Since we all got tired from the whole trip, we then pampered ourselves with a relaxing body massage @ Along The Road Spa in Torres St. We parted ways after having our dinner @ D's place. Well, the entire trip was really FUN, FUN, FUN and I enjoyed the moments spent with friends ('though we missed some though!).

Below are the captured moments in the said getaway. :) Enjoy viewing! :)

He Loves Selflessly

Call him selfless but that exactly describes the person I am referring to. I am just wondering why he could love someone he never met but with constant communication. He knew that the girl has given him limitations, yet he never cease to keep in touch. He was given a picture of the girl finding a lifetime partner, still he gladly said that he's living in the "here and now." Asked if he's hurt, he mentioned he is but he just can't have everything.
